Great episode! Lived in desert CA for 40 years and just moved to north Mississippi. As an aside since you mentioned Gina wanted to see Sunset Strip, I lived in Hollywood in the 60s when I was a hippie (still am, actually). I hung out more on Hollywood Blvd. but I came to the conclusion that if you sat at the corner where Hollywood met Sunset for 20 years you would eventually see almost every person in the entire world.
Good for Ross--I like his thinking. Also, good luck getting your road open. Caltrans will need 6 months (1 month for work and 5 months for standing around scratching their butts).
Death Valley went through it this year between the heat and now the rain. I spent 10 days there in Feb this year and just loved it! Was looking forward to coming back this Feb. Praying the roads are open for business and tourism 🙏
@@djizzahI lived most of my life within from being a stone’s throw to an hours drive away from the Pacific. But I also loved the desert landscape from the first time I went over Interstate 80 into Reno as a kid. I just moved to Las Vegas a month ago and the desert landscape and mountains are amazing. It’s a big planet, confining oneself to a small section of it is a waste.
I didn't experience the desert until I was in my 30s and rented a car in Vegas and drove to hoover dam and through Valley Of Fire. Being from NY, I never experienced anything like it. I was blown away. Now I want to move out there, preferably in the middle of nowhere.
Finally, after 8 long years,I'll be in Vegas from Italy november 29th for a week hosted by friends...thanks to your videos I keep adding places to visit in the desert! 😊
We got three good storms up here in the Tehachapi Mountains. Stallion Springs. Pre-Hilary, by many weeks, there was an incredible thunderstorm for hours. It's springtime green here, and I'm not talking about the bud. Thanks, Wonderhussy.

I really love Death Valley. Our Dad used to take us there all the time. It's definitely a special place. Thanks for the videos 😊
we have a friend we visited in Pahrump a couple weeks before Hilary and almost every road we toured on or used when we were living ended up washed out. glad we did.
Love the desert. Love exploring and tinkering with metal detecting and photography. So much lost goodies in the desert. Wonderhussy brings it all to life. The bestest!
steps to fly a kite 1. wet finger, hold up, cold side is UP wind, you will Run that direction 2. have someone hold kite up, or prop kite up as high as possible so it can release when you pull string 3. let out alot of string 4. hold string and kite up, face upwind, then 123 go! run run run, kite will pop up then run more until kite is high enough to stay up, then stop & slowly slowly let out more string. :) done

That's sad about highway 127, I was there last February.
Thank you so much I appreciate it, I spent four years in Shoshone my dad own the museum and I lived next to the crowbar in a house that had snake in the house. I had to kill the ones in my house. I was six years old and my dad gave me a great 22. Gun and I used to have fun and I had a horse that I could ride and we could go out to the desert for a while. I went to school in your town the next year and on the bus. You are helping me with the joy of growing up and have good memories of my life.
Loved the C.W. McCall song line, "let them truckers roll! 10-4!" That's old school!
WTF!!??
The road won't be fixed until New Years?
That is some bullshit there!! Ridiculous!!
Great video Sarah.
I miss living out there in the desert, lived in tonopah and kingman for awhile
Half moon out tonight. Cheers Wonderhussy.
Thanks for the update WH! :-)
Damn, I was just planning a trip to visit that area in a few weeks and check out some of the really cool plaes Sara features in her videos. Now I'll have to postpone my trip. 😢
Totally know what you're talking about. I had my trip to Death Valley cancelled a few weeks ago because of the closed roads. Went to Grand Canyon again instead.
WH,
Oh my goodness, I couldn't stop laughing at the VIlla, your friends are awesome😁😁
Cheers,
Rik Spector
Absolutely fantastic abs beautiful video of the desert and mountains so close to home. Sometimes we overlook the simple pleasures 🎉❤
Well that explains why google maps shows having to go through Vegas to get to LA from Tecopa. Couldn’t figure it out Thanks. 👍👍😂
Not sure if I should write this but could this be one of your best videos 🤔 Omg, super content, sad to know about Shoshone 😮 and the road into a Death Valley. I was looking forward to the flea market 😢 you're the best 🏆 according to the LA Times, Death Valley is tentatively going to open Oct 15, access through hwy 190.
Props for the Lunachacks t-shirt, Heidi!!
You’re awesome wonderhussy
There are a ton of roads that are washed out around topaz lake also. Be safe
Columbus Day!! Thank you Ross 🥰👏👏👏
Hussey always has nice friends!😊🎉🎉🎉
Wonderhussy! That place that's drying up. That is most likely fungus or bacteria? When it drys all the way out and turns to powder, will it get airborne, like in Arizona and the Salt Lakes? I really love Death Valley. Our Dad used to take us there all the time. It's definitely a special place. Thanks for the videos 😊
Nice job helping those that really need it!
we have a friend we visited in Pahrump a couple weeks before Hilary and almost every road we toured on or used when we were living ended up washed out. glad we did.
What! No drop pit at Tacopa Mine? Very sure i have seen a few open pits around Ross's home. Build an outhouse over one.....1,000 year loo!
It's going to be in the low 100°Fs here in the desert of Arizona for the next few days.
A main highway running North out of Palm Springs is still closed.
Love the desert. Love exploring and tinkering with metal detecting and photography. So much lost goodies in the desert. Wonderhussy brings it all to life. The bestest!
steps to fly a kite
1. wet finger, hold up, cold side is UP wind, you will Run that direction
2. have someone hold kite up, or prop kite up as high as possible so it can release when you pull string
3. let out alot of string
4. hold string and kite up, face upwind, then 123 go! run run run, kite will pop up then run more until kite is high enough to stay up, then stop & slowly slowly let out more string. :) done
