  • This video is in two parts, first a 2.5 circular stroll around the beautiful seaside town of Filey, with a little bit of history. Filey is the end point of the 110 mile Cleveland Way Walk and the 79 mile Yorkshire Wolds Way Walk. Then a 2.5 hour boat trip on the Yorkshire Belle from Bridlington to Flamborough Head and Bempton Cliffs to see the Puffins, Gannets, Kittiwakes, Razorbills, Guillemots and more nesting in the chalk cliffs. The area is managed by the RSBP.

I've never been to Filey. Looks a pleasant place. Bempton I've been to once - to the RSPB viewing point. You were lucky with the weather, good weather for filming.

Hi Michael, we had a first quick look at Filey on the way to Flamborough. It was immaculate with gardeners everywhere busy planting up, so we decided to go back the next day and have a good look round. Beautiful little seaside resort especially up and back from the sea front.

We were there for 2 weeks so may have walked right past you, thought I faintly heard "how the devil are ye" in the distance, haha.

Hi Steve and Jean. Great clarity in your film. Very realistic to watch with some effective shots. Presume It's the camera you mentioned before. Not been to Filey for years I know its usually a holiday location for Butlins if I remember rightly. Much enjoyed sharing hols and liked the easy going style of piano arrangement too.

Hadn't intended to use my cameras on holiday but couldn't help it. The Insta360 camera is a lot of fun. Butlins closed in 1983 and became 600 holiday homes. Bridlington has an amusing memory, I was persuaded by a drummer from music college to audition for a summer season, on hammond organ and drums, we didn't get the job, but the drummer, Andrew Newton, became a hypnotist with a TV show. I still can't play the hammond organ.

@@lancsway That's such an interesting set of circumstances Steve. Fancy - what a transformation from drummer to hypnotist but step up into TV. Brings back my audition days in entertainment too. Thanks for explanations.
