I use a Harbor Freight cordless screwdriver for my string winder. It's small and light and less than 20 bucks. It's perfect for the job and cheap enough to be bespoke for just that use.
Regarding sticking sandpaper to a metal leveling beam, I'd seen other guitar makers using double-sided tape. This struck me as excessive, considering Physics and sheer forces, so I decided to conduct my own test using a Paper "Glue Stick" instead. The sandpaper stuck to the beam, didn't peel off when leveling frets, cost next to nothing, and the old glue is easily removed from the beam with a little warm water. I even tried it on a wooden Fret radius block, and it worked just as well. 🤷♀YMMV
On my beam I put masking tape sticky side down and then quickly spread super glue and then put another piece of tape sticky side up. Let it dry for a couple quick mins and then you can put whatever sand paper you want on it and when your done just peel the whole thing off.
For the fret puller you can simply go to Harbor Freight buy a small pair of those bullnose pliers & grind them on a bench grinder to what you bought for much less.
I was looking into string winders for a while and also got some universal one fits all attachment. The peg itself is mostly too large and a lot won't fit and only rest on on an edge. That's fine with some tuners, not with older ones or highly polished expensive ones. One for the mini-tuners, one for bass and one for the regular ones would probably be enough. I was pondering getting some of frank's cranks but it's painful with shipping and customs. I added material on some of the universal ones to not harm the tuners and use a small hitachi driver (DB3DL, no longer sold) for it that has both directional buttons next to each other so if used on the other side it's still easy to use if one hasn't the option to walk around or want to turn the guitar. I'd buy a small electric specific peg turner as well but they sound like they're made to rotate lollipops and it should work on bass as well.
I also have an account with CE Distribution. They always have great service and good prices.
