This video series takes us from an empty workshop, to a fully operational small shop luthiery operation. I'll show you the jigs and templates I use, how to make your own, with downloadable CNC files, cut lists, and blueprints for each project.

Underrated channel. So much useful stuff given away for free!
Thanks so much for that, you've made my day!
I caught some dry comedy in there. Russian space pen 😮. just found your channel. I am a hobby woodworker, bass player, and make my living as an engineer. I assume I can apply your lessons/techniques to building a bass guitar as long as I account for the difference in size and scale. It seems most of your posts happened a while ago. not sure you’ll read it. Much appreciation for sharing your skills!
Welcome aboard! I still check comments every day, although I have dialled back on uploads for the sake of my mental health.
Thx for the video man it is very useful I love the videos keep it up 🤙
Glad you like them!
excelente hermano! thanks for share, Salud!
Juan, email me so I can send you some fridge magnets!
What a great idea! What bit are you using to trim the Tang?
I’m using a carbide grinding burr, with a 1/4” diameter to fit the laminate trimmer
Hey dude, another sweet vid! That jig is pretty cool and I really like the re-loader. I noticed that you have a radial drill press and was wondering if there’s any real advantage to having one. Obviously it has plenty of depth of drill but do you use the tilting feature?
Hey Matt! I have never used the tilting feature of that drill press. If I was to need that feature, I'd buy another drill press just for it. The reason I got that one is because it has such a deep clearance, so it's perfect for drilling ferrules, even on an Explorer style body. It was actually a really reasonable price, and I honestly love it.
🤯best diy tool design I’ve seen yet
Thanks Royce!
Feeding the algorithm
I appreciate it.
I absolutely love your videos, keep up the amazing work!
I absolutely love your comment! Thank you so much.
Jig looks great!
Thanks 👍 I appreciate the support!
wow and thank you .
You are most welcome!
That measurement at 3:48, nice accuracy bro 👍🏻. Just so our American buddies don’t miss out, it works out as a very convenient 173/191sts of an Inch.
Ha! I'm glad I don't live in the USA or I would never have started woodworking.
Great job ! is it stainless steel frets?
Thanks !
Thanks so much... just nickel steel frets, but this will work with stainless also.
@@TempleGuitars thanks by answer! I´ll try it. Your videos are so interesting, keep it alive ;)
Thank you! I will do my best!
Neat!
Thanks!
Nice cat :D
Thank you Suki
Wow, that is the best jig I've seen for taking care of fret tangs. Thanks for being generous and sharing your design.
That's why I'm here! Thanks for checking out my video.
Great video my friend. Now I feel bad for spending way to much on mine but no pants lessened the pain. 👍
actually you could make a mount for a router and use yours as the fret holding component
Niiice! Woodshop tech wizardry.
Look here fella!
@@TempleGuitars is that a bent copper reference? Hahah
You truly know me.

I have to have this , I can see that this would work great for stainless frets as the nippers dull to quickly ! Thanks for sharing your ideas
Glad it can come in handy!
Yep lock down shop attire slippers and PJs👍! Very cool jig.
Haha! You know it! Thanks for checking it out.
Mate your videos always crack me up. Russian space pen 😂
Also, awesome jig. I'd say it was over-engineered, but it's all necessary stuff. Can definitely see myself making this one, thank you!

@@TempleGuitars Wowsers trousers. Didn't know they were an actual thing! Amazing name.
Incredible! Loved the concept of this simple, yet very effective jig!
Thanks Bruno- the simpler the better!
Or you could always buy the tool from stewmac and be done with it
Stew Mac don't sell this tool. The fret tang nippers they sell still leave a portion of the tang under the fret, which needs to be trimmed away- which is what this tool does. Also, not everyone has the money to afford Stew Mac prices, so using workshop scraps can help some people. Cheers for the dismissive comment though.
