They wont be able to hold 5 millions plus players at launch, servers are gonna explode at launch, current active league player base is over 5 millions players, most im sure will try it, plus the mmo players waiting for it, its gonna be the clash of the two biggest communities in gaming
I mean they have the money to get more servers to be built and idk if they can use lol, valorant, runeterra servers to compensate or will they be the same servers?
@@Shaf-ci4om those got dedicated servers, I'm telling you this is gonna be the biggest thing in gaming since idfk lol, you know the huge community that arent even mmo player behind league champions? Just that alone is insane, factor in the insane amount of mmo players that are gonna try it even tho they are playing other mmos, plus a part of the league players, hell i dint even count the other communities such Runeterra, Valorant, TFT, its just gonna blow up, the problem is they got zero idea of the players at launch, cuz could whatever crazy amount, 1 mill, 5, who knows, and they got the resources but you know companies arent about wasting em, they might bet on it and put out insane amount of servers, i doubt tho cuz you know after launch some players leave etc, the problem here gonna be to log in day 1 lmao, new world had about a mill at launch and ppl had days of queue lol
And knowing Riot, leading up to the launch the hype is just gonna out this world cuz when they drop a trailer, oh boy

Its been 2 years since I played lol. Got addicted to the game in 17 and played till 21 nonstop. Stopped playing but still hyped for the game
Well if their smart they'll rent/buy overhead servers based off pre-orders, and test with multiple early access events leading up to launch and hopefully have the correct capacity by then, maybe a little more just for launch. It'll calm down afterwards and they can lose what they don't need.

24:50 also just as an fyi none of the pictures in the video (except the 3d rander of the map) are fanart they are part of the canon world of league of legends and the reason we know so much is because they come from the official Riot league of legends card game called Legends of Runeterra that game acts as the laargest repository of visual display of how the world actually looks even more then the universe page.

I will check it out for sure, since i usually check out every MMO that's releases...and still go back to BDO again...
But the biggest things i worry about are the Graphics and the Balancing.
Riot is amazing in worldbuilding, gameplay, mechnics and design overall.
But the graphical style might not be my taste after all, unless they really put a lot of work in it.
And let's not talk about balancing, we all played LoL at some point and know that's gonna be a disaster.
But i play BDO, so the bar is pretty low.
Balance in online video games is a myth that bad players invented to justify their luck of skill.
Western mmo don't really priorities graphics as highly as Korean mmo so it's highly wouldn't be your cup of tea. The one biggest flaws of high graphics is needing a good gaming computer. I'm expecting riot to be aiming for an larger audiences where more people can play the game like league of legend without an problem which is important if they want the game to have more players since players is what makes the world more alive. I don't think you should judge the balancing base on one of their games because all of their games have separate teams working on them; not like the same devs working on multi games at the same time.
I can play it on my iphone or ipad?
If you want mounts, Guild Wars 2 has 8-9 available all with different mechanics and skills. :)

The problem with new mmo games is that they cant catch up to the ones that's been in live for 10 years. I would not wait for more than a "New World level" for a so called "WoW killer"

Thank god WOW isnt a thing in the philippines. Back in 2002, it was ragnarok online. It took the philippines like a storm.
I'm kinda hype on this game, I never knew league of legends has this kind of story and lore, it's kinda similar to WoW which I also loved. I can't wait for this game to be release and I hope it will be good that it can kill BDO 😅
I kinda miss reading and understanding the story and lore in MMO's (I always love reading/understanding the story and lore in my previous MMO's), unlike in BDO which like Blue said making us read all the story dialogues and the story & lore is not that great. BDO has story and lore, but ever since I play the game last 2018, I never really understand it's story or lore, I try to understand it at first, but it's kinda boring... making me sleepy every time😅 I only play BDO because the graphics and combat is good, but if there is a much better MMO out there in the next few years or so, then I'll probably say good bye to BDO.

So for the Demacians - I’m not quite sure I understand how hating magic and mages makes them racist? Wouldn’t that make them prejudice if anything? I feel like if magic was real it would pose some major concerns or dangers and a society being fearful towards that makes sense. If some humans are just born with magical abilities they probably shouldn’t be murdered for that but again I don’t see how that is racism.

I would love to be wrong, but i don't think we can trust modern western writers to make a nuanced morally grey story, at least not the writers that would be in charge of that at Riot.

Also if this game is top down or isometric im out. Nasus and Renekton were clearly based off Anubis and Sobek.

@@AppleBaron thats also not correct, Xenophobia is defined as the hatred or dislike of someone based on their country of origin. If you are born there you're from there, if someone hates you it's not Xenophobia. We don't have a word specific to "hatred of magic users".

It's an umbrella term that encapsulates all the forms of hatred to immutable characteristics, like racism, sexism, homophobia, etc. So hatred towards someone who was born with magical abilities would fall under that term as well.

Well to be fair LoL is the first original moba game of the 3 corridor style. So it deserves a good story behind it. While dota keeps breaking its neck trying to figure out how to put in one universe all random characters from WC3 😂
No? Dota was the original back as a mod/map for wc3. And I think there was one for starcrsft even earlier. Or do you mean first moba based on original IP?
@@joshholmes1372 dota never had anything original in it at all. It became popular because of the large development support. Tho that development was lazy AF. Most of the dota "complex" mechanics are a straight excesses from the Wc3. Like the items exchange system with a pet and the mob spawners in the forest, i mean the way they work.

It's xenophobic, not racist. Mages in Runeterra are born that way, so if you hate them just for being mages it's the same as hating someone for their skin colour or sexualitiy.
