      @@VIVSVIBE I can give you a few ideas of what I'm looking for. I ran my first marathon last September using the MAF method and am turning into an endurance addict, so I am looking for races with more miles, but also dabbling into trail running at the same time.
      Ideas:
      * Intro to trail running, what to get/expect/practice and more or less how you find trails and decide where to run. Are road miles and trail miles the same in training plans? If I'm power hiking most of my run up the mountain, is that mileage as if it were road miles?
      * How to progress -- do I go from Marathon to 50M or 50K? How do I decide which race to run? Should elevation or race reputation scare me?
      * Books -- what books do you read and find value from for inspiration/strategy/learning?
      * Race reports -- what race you ran, how you did, and retrospective on your failures/learning/take aways for next time.
      * Gear recommendations -- head lamp, hydration packs, shoes etc that have worked for you and why they work for you.
      * More of what you already do. I love how you incorporate your runs and some of the scenic views from them as segments in your videos along with the one liners that stick with me. I love your philosophy, especially on getting up in the morning to 'get out there' and to not make excuses for being too tired. It's easy to trick ourselves out of getting the work done, and I like your strategies for 'getting it done!'.
      I'm still getting through the rest of your ultra running playlist, excited to see the rest and see where you go from here!

    Hey just stumbled across you researching ultra trail running as I always do, looking forward to doing my first 50k I had one in may in the French Alps but it got cancelled and rescheduled for September. I live in Ireland close to the mourne mountain region so lucky to have that as a training ground. Thanks for the tips 👌🏻

    I was (and still am) more road runner, but time to time I do short 5 to 10km trail runs and I love how challenging it is. I live next to pretty big hill and I use it pretty often. Bought trail shoes, bough running vest (Naked running vest to be exact) and despite that I did only few half marathons on flat surface, I would like to do trail marathon even more. Too bad there are only two trail marathons in my country this year and one of them will be on 11th of June and second one will be 15th of October. And I have amazing plan. I will try to run in both of these marathons, but first one will be just to have my first experience, mistakes and hopefully finish. And second one in october might be more "serious", because I believe I will learn my lessons from first one + second marathon is 47km long, so basically it's ultra already! It's January at the moment, I do run a lot in snow and nasty winter conditions which makes my runs basically into trail running so I think I'm in pretty good starting positions of preparation for that first trail marathon on 11th of June. I have 20 weeks until this run and I hope I will manage to do that.

    • @VIVSVIBE
      @VIVSVIBE  2 роки тому +1

      With 20 weeks to train you should be plenty ready. I hope you have a great time and enjoy every part of the process. Trail racing is such a fun time and the two marathons you partake in should be no different. Have a blast out there!!!

      @@VIVSVIBE Thank you! Still need to do some research, because there are mostly plans for road runners and I finished one which was for 10k run on December. Had my PB in 10K and 5K, very happy with that, but I found that it was pretty boring to run in high pace whole time and feels like it is easier to get injury doing this, so I found trail running and it's awesome. Way harder, but way more badass :)

    • @VIVSVIBE
      @VIVSVIBE  2 роки тому +1

      Plus you can eat food the whole way! One race I ran even had cheesecake bites. It was the best!!

    • @akfilms6748
      @akfilms6748 2 роки тому

      @@VIVSVIBE This part is interesting and scary at same time. For example I can't understand how runners can eat piece of watermelon and continue the race when I take one bite of it and I need to jump into bushes after 15 minutes lol

    • @VIVSVIBE
      @VIVSVIBE  2 роки тому

      Haha! It’s something you can train your stomach to handle better. On my long runs I bring the food I’m going to eat come race day.

    Very useful video,
    and about increasing speed we just follow our body ?

    • @VIVSVIBE
      @VIVSVIBE  3 роки тому +1

      I like to listen to my body first and foremost but speed work throughout the week even as little as some pick ups thrown in a long run can really help with leg turnover.

    • @michails.maipas814
      @michails.maipas814 3 роки тому +1

      @@VIVSVIBE most safe way 🤔bcz we are looking for many years ahead and many miles, so just never harry increase speed 😃

    • @VIVSVIBE
      @VIVSVIBE  3 роки тому +1

      I’m not a coach but I would recommend finding a training plan with very specific speed work built in. Then you can have a good structure and work your way slowly into speed work. Like I said, maybe some pick ups in a long run, then maybe some strides at the end of a shorter run, then maybe some progression runs. Something like that in a plan is what I’d look for!
