Nice sled. I dont know how to describe it, but when it gets cold -30 or colder snow has that crunch when you walk on it. Its such a unique sound its easy to hear on camera
Woodys has a stud pattern that works well . I used there recommended pattern . I think it was only 88 picks but i am happy with the added traction. I towed my 8X10 fish house up an iced over steep road last year. I had to stop halfway up the hill because the sled ahead of me spun out , once he was clear I proceeded to the top. It did want to stand up on its hind legs for a bit . Good luck .
We got one in December no issues what so ever. I am finding and liking that is almost maintenance free. In that we don't have to consistently worry about adding oil.
New to the channel just subbed. -44C here in Aklavik in the Canadian Arctic. I might think about a Titan next year since cant get new Yamahas any more . Any caribou around ? None around here Porkys are all in Alaska according to the PCMB collars.
I've got the 800 got 3500 miles on it. Studs are nice for sure. Was worried about the 4 stroke not having a pull cord lol. It's been solid for me. I'd change your tranny fluid right about now and your oil. Had the low snow kit installed and had a boggey wheel pop out and my clutch needed a rebuild this year. But I'm hard on it and use it to pull a shit ton of stuff. Keep. Us posted on the 4 stroke haven't heard much about them
I’ve got 500 miles on it right now. 400 miles of pulling half cord loads of wood. I love this machine it’s a freaking beast. Changed the oil after 25 hrs on the break-in burned to look into the tranny oil
Great video. How has that four stroke been for cold weather starting? Looking at the same machine but I worry about turning the key at -20F after sitting all night at my remote cabin and it not starting. I’m getting old but can still pull the 2 strokes over if the key start doesn’t go at those temps.
It was-25f the other day and I didn’t put it in the garage or plug it in. It took me a minute of cranking on it but it fired up. Reading the manual it has a sequence of turning it off then waiting 10 seconds and turning it back on for 10 seconds if being parked outside when it’s cold. Guess it pulls the oil out of the crank for easier starts
@@chrisengler1533 Thanks for the response and good to hear you were able to crank it over at a proper cold temperature. I didn’t think about plugging it in with some sort of block heater. A generator would help heat it up if that is an option.
The Polaris S4 Voyageur also has a block heater, so I assume it will be standard on all of their 4 strokes. They use the same PS4 full synthetic engine oil so cold starting shouldn't be too bad unless you are -25 or colder.
@@davidsafronuk9802 Thanks for that input. The Voyager and Titan are what I am looking at. The S4 interests me and now that they have block heaters and we have lithium jump starters to help with a weak battery maybe I will try it. My last experience is with the older Polaris 4 stroke and with no block heater I nearly caught it on fire trying to heat it miles in the woods with a tarp covering a buddy heater. I ended up walking miles to my truck at -25F. Too old and fat for that now.
I hope that mph not kph 🤨 I'm from Nunavut where some months are averaging -40c, how do you think it would do in that environmental not keeping it in garage?
@@iinuarak8619 I left it outside plugged in the other day and it fired right up -45F easy. I’ve been hauling wood in those temps all winter. And yes that’s 75mph
And for a 720 lb dry weight plus 15.6 gal fuel taking it to approx 850lbs plus operator, 75 is pretty good. Been extremely happy with mine. 470 miles on it right now.
I don’t think it’s Canadian lol it’s in Fahrenheit for all I know. Once I got home the temperature was-35f so rivers are usually 5-10 degrees colder. Thanks for the sub my Canadian brother 👍
@@chrisengler1533 yeah I checked -20 Canadian is -6f or something. -20f is -34 Canadian so it's still cold. -35 is mostly the same. Looking forward to your updates on the Titan. Got little over 800 miles on it so far since I posted the video. I did the oil change at 25 hrs and pretty much gas and go with it👍

Got one last year. Only thing I did to it was stud it. first 1000 miles all good.
I’ve got about 400 miles on it right now. It’s hauled about 10-15 loads of wood and I’m happy with it. I’m thinking of getting the screw in studs
That’s a fancy sno go. Even has a video screen?

Can let us know when it reaches 10k to 20k miles
Nice, I've been looking at same model. What's the top speed on that one?
I hit 75 with it. It doesn’t go as fast as the 900ace they have a bit more top end

And cold starting
I was thinking always let it warm up unless it was warmed up before the driving video
The tunnel noise is so loud on this compared to skidoo. But o still love the power it has on the lower end 🤌🏿

What kind of klim gloves were you using?
I believe they are the insulated inversion gloves
Will it get stuck in deep powder?
20” widetrack 1.5” lugs it’s pretty hard to get stuck
What kind of box is that on the back?
It’s what came with the snowmachine, nice little box for gear and stuff
What's the gas mileage like
Made it 90 miles on 3/4 tank. And that’s was breaking trail most of the time
