We have a home rule on "Stealth". We cast the Stealth minion off to the side and mark it's location on a piece of paper. Then as the unit moves we continue to track it's location. It adds much more intrigue to stealth minions and when they appear it can really be a shock. With the current way stealth is played, even though the minion is supposed to be hidden, everyone not only knows where it's at, they know what the minion is and what kind of threat it poses.
While they were discussing it, I also had the thought that you could just play the stealth minion face-down as a way to remember it is stealthed and to hide information.
You could do it that way as well. However, your opponent will know the location of the stealth unit. I leave it up to whoever I'm playing with. Some like it. Some don't. All in all, if you decide upfront you can play it as you see fit. Me, I like the mystery! @@aes602

Thank you team. I'll have to spend some time to make sure i understand any changes to the timeline rules but there are enough discord members on the rules channel to point me in the right direction. Everything else seems intuitive. One thing to note: making defending easier can potentially slow down the game and lead to stale games. But I'd rather the games be as slow as tolerable in the beginning so that as new sets get added it's okay if the game gets cards that slightly speed up.
So if my avatar casts Ice lance, does it start at my avatars location and only move 2 more adjacent sites...or would it start at the site next to my avatar, making the projectile be able to hit further?
Wow, stealth can cast damaging magics and stay stealthed?! That's very cool, a little weird narratively, but im ok with it. Played it wrong all weekend

An "attack" for the purposes of losing stealth is defined as anything one character does that deals (or attempts to deal) damage to another character or object. Spellcasting would be an attack. Ranged attacks would be an attack. Defending would be an attack. Would it be better to say: "When a stealthed character deals damage, that character loses stealth?"
At the 26 minute mark Jesse you call the summoning sickness change a buff to Puppet Master.. that's not correct, it only gains control of tapped minions.

I would argue it isn't a buff if it's only really in the hypothetical that they 'could' design cards in the future that would allow it to happen. But as it currently stands, there is one situation that this is possible. If you gain control of your opponents' Yokai Kappas [does anyone play these?], and you also happen to have a water site in hand to discard and untap them.. But I do hope something comes along to make this more readily possible.
@@Cameraobscura3100 Also silver valkeries. Without them, the tapped minions stay tapped at the start of opponent's turn, unable to defend. With the valks, they untap sooner, though not on your turn.
With any Ranged unit, I imagine. Would you say it would be more flavorful if poisonous dagger wouldn't work on projectiles? Or maybe should Lethal only work on strikes? Always curious to see what players think.
Ranged keyword change is a bit clunky as now we have two different types of projectiles that behave differently but are both referred to as "projectile".

If you want to allow players to steal a minion and attack with it right away, you would want to say "untap that minion and gain control of it. That minion gains haste until end of turn"
Considering the new rules to Defend, it would be cool if Avatar of Air’s movement ability were usable on any turn that way you can use it to fly a unit into defend range.
It's interesting that they did virtue signaling in one direction by adding crusade/jihad cards that can't even be sold on TCGP because they're "insensitive" or whatever but then they hire a he/they and put his pronouns out there virtue signaling the other direction. Very strange. It's also weird that at the time of my writing this, your comment has the most thumbs up but is at the very bottom of the comments section...

That’s true, but if you find a way to untap them after you play puppet master you can use them that turn! A small buff but still a buff.

Really I thought it was better in explaining it as you only need to really understand the new projectile rules to understand ranged.
I’m still Confused. is the ranged attack still functioning the same or Am I supposed to treat it like it’s actually a projectile?
@WonOneWun it's no longer a strike. It's a projectile that only travels as far as the keyword indicates (Ranged 2 is 2 steps for example)
