As someone who was always fond of AD&D's 2e base world and Call of Cthulhu 1920s, Ravenloft was a match made in heaven. I never got to play or DM a actual ravenloft scenario but I did go through the two goldbox DOX games and the world they protrayed, though primitive, was amazing.
I think you'd find the value in them if you were a die hard fan of Ravenloft. If you're not planning an epic Ravenloft campaign, the entire bundle may not be worth it. Maybe just grab the pdfs. I bought the book+ pdf bundle. I wasn't disappointed with my purchase.
@@DnDnBeer It would be great to see a video for those wanting to get into the Ravenloft setting. What are the top three products you would start with (say from DriveThruRPG), what are the "essential" products; and how would you proceed from there (maybe adding to the top three to round it out and make it a top 10)?
Domains of Dread is really good It's like Van Richten's Encyclopedia but shorter and with 2e stat blocks. Affiliate link www.drivethrurpg.com/product/17525/Ravenloft-Domains-of-Dread-2e?affiliate_id=1792533
Own these and consider them one of my best role-playing purchases ever. They are now my go to for Ravenloft lore and inowledge.

Wow what a great product. Did not know it even existed. I will have to check out the link and see how much those hard covers are.
Thank you for this coverage!
Do you think they are a good value for the (high) price?
