It’s on eBay with 3 batteries for $145. Is that a good deal? I’m thinking about ordering it for my first RC car as an adult. I’ve had cheap ones as a kid but those don’t compare at all to this. Heck that was 30+ years ago.

Absolutely agree with plastic has that give factor. Tonight me and my bro racing 124019 and the 124018 on our off road race track. I got excited and shoe horned a big tree root. Front drivers side swing arm completely fell to bits. But no damage all plastic it just popped including the swing arm main pin. Can of beer 5 minutes to put everything back in place then full on hard racing without any failures from both vehicles for the rest of the nights racing. Love your channel. Legends 👍

Thanks for another video! I look forward to some new bashing videos soon. I'm excited for you to get that XMAX you are drooling over as well. I couldn't get myself to pull the trigger on it cause its $900 USD and add in batteries it gets crazy. Went with the EREVO 2.0 and switched to the MAXX recently.

The 144001 Has a Short Wheel base allowing for better center of gravity and betetr turning but less stability at highspeed the 129 is longer and more stable at highspeed and can do turns without flipping so I would imagine the 144 would be better for this track due to all the turns.

Just wait until the spare parts go online. If you get the 124 chassis, chassis bridge and center driveshaft you can convert your 144 to a 124.
Slap a brushless kit on there with some bigger wheels and you got yourself a killer buggy

What tires yall rockin these stock tires are good for drifting and what not but I need some grip on the dirt trails I run...on either one I've got 2 144001s and a 124019 and a 124017 v2 and they are all about due tires the 124017 v2 had the best out the box

How are you able to drive two different cars at the same time because I know I have three of these cars and I can use one controller to drive all three I have actually turned two cars on and the controller and I can control both cars at the same time

@@TheRcKiwis My 144001 Arrived first thing I noticed out of the box is that it had very nice damp suspension this looks like a overall good quality rc and the only bad thing about it is that it feels like it is gonna break all the time and the diffrentials need greasing.
@@Pothead2005 grease the diffs. They normally have no grease or very little from factory
I did and the whole driveshaft came off the rear right wheel from a small power slide crash
Do they both go the same speed?
Are these two compatible on the upgrades tires & stuff ?

Do either of these buggies have enough power on demand with the standard battery/electronics for backflips?.. I've had a couple of wltoys RCs and they've been gutless in the air, these look better but i don't wanna end up disappointed again.

Case closed. I have the WLtoys 144001 myself and all I can say is that it's just such a great car. That's an understatement though, because you get so much for the money.
In all honesty, I was so surprised that this bad boy came out and it looks quite sick! The 124019 definitely does beat out the 144001, but I wouldn't say enough to probably pick this over the 144001. Here's what I think.
If the 144001 and the 124019 were the exact same price, I don't understand why on earth you would pick the 144001 over the other (despite maybe a few flaws with the other one for your situation.) But seriously, looking at the price differences, you're actually not half bad off with the 144001.
Still getting the metal parts, the very high quality shocks, metal chassis, ergonomic radio controller and so on.
CONCLUSION OF MY STINKING ESSAY: *as long as you don't have the a959b anymore, the 144001 is already enough for you.*

Just like how the 144001 is a clone of the LC Racing EMB-1, the 124019 is a clone of the LC Racing LC12B1. It's only a matter of time before WLToys makes an LC10B5 clone now, which would be a full-on competitive (albeit somewhat obsolete) 1/10th scale buggy platform.

Great Vid' guys ... The 124' really is a nice little runner I think it is an excellent "toy" grade machine which has a lot of the features of a "hobby" grade machine but at a price point that is a lot easier on the bank balance! Any plans to see how it takes the jumps at the skate park? Keep up the good work :)

Lol toy grade? With full all metal upgrades can run over 100 mph
@@kotetsujin3493 I think its on the cusp ... Low end Hobby Grade or High end Toy grade? As it stands without upgrades it is in the Toy bracket BUT it has the features of being upgradeable. So, yes debateable as to Hobby or Toy. :)
Well all rc’s are toys even the gas ones the only difference is there’s cheap and expensive one’s
@@kotetsujin3493 Yes it is a toy, by definition,. My concerns for the difference are the integrated ESC/Radio and the brushed motor. BUT for the price i don't think you can do much better :)

An idea for WL Toys. How about you have regular names instead of model numbers? Nobody will remember 848473857
🤣 we are getting pretty good at remembering the million numbers haha.
The numbers actually sort of tell you what you're getting. If it starts with 10 it's a 10 scale, 12 is a 12 scale, 14 is 14, 28 is 28, you get the idea. The 4 or 2 that follows tells you if it's 2 or 4 wheel drive. The rest is model specific and I don't know what they mean.
