Actually Basil's wife has been coping with highly strung Basil for 15 years. This is her way of coping. Once the dust settles she sorts things out lol.
A little side note - for the rest of his life Bruce Boa (the ‘American’) got fans calling out “Waldorf Salad!” for the rest of his life! Even in different countries. He took it in good heart though!
This is the only Fawlty Towers episode where they don't go upstairs into any of the guest rooms. BTW: The "Ritz" salad sounds disgusting... "Apples, grapefruit, and potatoes..." 🤣🤣
try and review Operation Good guys - episode Operation snowdrop - it's a mockumentary i.e fly on the wall about a hapless police unit in london being filmed by the BBC
Here is part 3 guys! ua-cam.com/video/D7RWVRnsAwQ/v-deo.html

Just remembered where the american was in, full metal jacket.
This is analogous to a dysfunctional family system

Celery, apples, walnuts and grapes with mayonnaise.
Mmmmm, sounds rancid.
He says he wants a hot meal but then orders a salad 🙄
@@c_n_b Well they ordered the salads as starters and then two steaks after that😊
This 'McJibbin' fella. Genuinely good humour is completely lost on him. I think it's all too wordy. Not enough cream pies being thrown about.
Typical American. Tries to analyse comedy rather than just enjoy it !
