This is absolutely the last time you will EVER see me drywall on camera I PROMISE… but we clearly see that my promises don't mean very much at this point lol
I’m excited to hear how relieved you’ll feel when you don’t have unfinished deadlines to be bummed about while you do fun things with your family. Hopefully you’re able to stay fully present with them even when you’re working on projects in between that time.
Our house is getting some remodeling done as well! (Not doing it ourselves though) My mom has started watching your basement videos as well so we feel more "in the know" when it comes to construction stuff (by proxy lol). Thanks for continuing to put out videos each week! It's motivating to me as well working on my own projects looking back to see what I've accomplished that week
This is...an incredible amount of work--especially for only 1 person. Thank you for sharing and explaining as you go--most renovations take a long time but a lot of the depictions are unrealistic or of poor quality. Amazing job, Jordan. You've got this!
I relate to this so much. Finishing projects always takes about twice as long as I think it will. Estimate 30 minutes? It'll take an hour. Estimate 3 days? It'll take a week. At this point, I've just learned to double my gut feeling when starting something new. If I feel like something will take one month, for example, I mark down two on my calendar. Works like a charm! Mostly!😅
@@JordanTaylorVideosdon’t wait til he’s 20, my cousin started work on his house when he was 14. Now him and his wife and their seven kids all live in it.
You’re going to feel so accomplished when you can look back at these videos once you’re done and see how little by little your progress has always BEEN progress!
This project is motivating for me because even you had difficulties in your way that didn't stop you to start over or just keep going honestly. It's inspiring yeah even the mudding part 😂😂
You say that we don't have to watch you drywall anymore like we're sick of it, but you have somehow managed to present it in a way that is fascinating and entertaining! 🎉 Well done, Jordan!
I bet you're thankful to be done with the drywall! We did a small repair (about a sheet and a half) on one of our ceilings. It was so messy and felt like it took forever...
Jordan, relax. The key to mudding drywall is to relax. Also, good old UA-cam university helps. But in all seriousness, using an 8 inch knife would help you a lot. I can tell that 12 inch knife isn't treating you well.
I have never heard of anyone putting this much "mud" on walls and I was raised by a contractor/carpenter. I'm not sure why you need to put so many coats on.
The basement looks so much brighter already and I love the exposed beams!

Keep it up!
You are going to become a professional drywall guy now. This whole channel will turn into a drywall channel!
I have learned a lot from your videos. Keep up the great work.

It's looking so good!!! 👌👏 And you don't even have paint up yet, just wait until you paint the walls, it's going to look amazing.

Good Job Jordan for getting faster at mudding! God bless you and your family!
You can do it, Jordan! It's looking good! My dad is in cabinetry (he does all our home renovations), and he would approve of your work. Keep at it.

When i realized today was friday i thought "oh we get to see Jordan's progress today!" Almost there!!!
I can relate. My husband is mudding / sanding / repeat upstairs and the kitchen has a perpetual trail of white footprints.
Drywall dust is so annoying 😂 we've been dealing with it for years.

When you showed yourself sped up while mudding,.my younger son (4) goes, "He's dancing!"
😂
Alright, once this is over, I'm looking forward to when in 20 years you're helping Owen build his house for him and his family.
That would be a great day.
