I actually thought about this for BTTF 4 after I first watched the trilogy I don't know how many years ago! Only in my version he shows up in random places, sometimes unnoticed, and does things like replacing potato chips with celery and so on. He's also embraced the concept of meeting himself, and does it so often that he stops surprising himself. Eventually the Docs from all the various timelines and points of his history form a club that meets on Tuesdays and mostly gets along, but can't quite stop bickering a little. The trouble is he eventually creates so many branches of time that he can't keep them all straight. Along the line, the other Docs eventually stage an intervention to try to get the "main" Doc to help figure out a way to merge all the timelines together into one that works (or at least one that works for everyone they care about; they agree Biff can pound sand.) Of course, there's only one possible way to do that, rife with risk and an outcome that's far from certain. Naturally it succeeds and all is well, except that right at the end we see a second Doc furtively observing the "main" one, so obviously there's still a rift somewhere in the time-space continuum. Roll credits.
Marty! You must come back with me to the future! It's your kids. Marty: What's wrong now, Doc. Doc: They are building a time machine to stop me from interfering with your future! 😂

You know how many pre-quels, Se-quels, Re-makes, Spin-offs or new trilogies have been made of the original three Back To The Future films? Zero "0" . You know why? Because Robert Zemeckis is not stupid and does not care how much money Hollywood offers him. He is not going to destroy this franchise just to make a quick buck. In fact he will take the franchise rights with him to his grave before anyone else can even start to think about a new back to the future anything! Thank you Robert Zemeckis for showing everyone else how its suppose to be done! 👍
It's a crying shame that this show is such high quality with really actually funny skits that don't even need to rely on going into the political sphere. The show even has an amazing budget, considering they recorded that skit with film cameras, which is not cheap.... and yet SNL is considered the highlight of sketch comedy
If this was what potential idea Universal could have for BTTF 4, that would be quite funny tbh, but also, I think it should show Marty just continuously getting sick of the Doc's shenanigans in the future.
Probably better if they just leave it alone. Like most sequel/reboots that have been coming out lately to revive IPs that have been dormant for decades, there's no avoiding that the baton will need to be passed to a new generation but it seems to be nearly impossible to pull that off gracefully. I mean, if a new BttF were to ever happen, it's going to be focused on a grandchild of Marty+Jennifer as the normie getting dragged through time and either one of Doc+Clara's sons or perhaps a grandchild of Doc+Clara as the scientist. And then they'll probably just try to rehash the original movie's plot as closely as possible. Beat for beat it'd be the same movie aside from the tweaks to update what years the present and past eras are set in. Or maybe they'll feel ambitious and they'll try to cram rehashed plot points of all three original movies all into one story.
