Had a bird fly into our new home in Richmond,Virginia as we unpacking. He flew from the garage straight up the basement stairs into the house! I got elected to the job of finding him, my net that I used for catching bats when we lived in Lexington,KY wasn't unpacked yet so had to use my hands. Tooks over an hour of chasing him but finally caught him and with both my hands. Managed not to hurt him or get bit, took him outside and released him. That was 7 years ago, I'm not sure exactly which species he was since we were new to this area.
