OOP's mom has some NERVE: Telling OP that she shouldn't throw away family after basically throwing away OP, assuming that OP tried to steal sis's fiance (who had, y'know, dated OP first, ghosted OP and got with her sister), calling OP a disgrace for taking her inheritance rather than letting mom basically steal it. Mom is Asscon1, that's for sure. With that age gap and the way that mom treats OP, I wouldn't be surprised if OP was an "oopsy baby," who mom couldn't even be bothered to pretend to love.
I love that she wore the earrings they were going to steal from her. I can’t see OP’s sis having anything but a miserable marriage that she deserves.
Sister be might have given her the biggest blessing in her life. She took away the bad guy, exposed who her real family members were and took herself out of her life. She literally cleaned up little sisters life.
OP, I just wanna say I wish we were friends, because I would treat you to dinner and fancy drinks! Wearing the earrings to go meet your niece / see the family is a level of petty that was 100% justified and earns a chef’s kiss!
OPs mom and sister are CRAAZZZYYY! I wish OP the best and honestly feel so bad for the sisters child. Gonna have to grow up with a crazy mother and grandmother, no Aunt, and a deadbeat father who fools around on their mother. Idk how anyone can blame OP when the sister and the guy were so out of line. Glad OP got their earrings though!

@@colettehernandez5687 Yeah, I think that's the thing. If it was what they both wanted, it would've been fine, but clearly they weren't on the same page in this instance. She probably should've cut her losses and dipped long before he ghosted her. Not that she doesn't know this now.
sisters marriage is likely to be short lived and miserable.
Dusty, I suspect the culture where the family is frowns heavily on children out of wedlock, but will turn a bit of a blind eye if engaged and they do get married. But if the wedding was cancelled, all bets are off. A divorce would later be better.

Big emphasis on block. Sis's relationship is doomed, and we all know that when it falls apart, mom WILL find a way to blame OP, even though OP hasn't responded to former FWB/future BIL's messages/comments, and it's best to block her before she gets that opportunity.
No way that the dude ghosted OP to conveniently start dating her sister right away. Sister definitely got in his ear before he ghosted and she probably told him that just ghosting it would be the best way for him to end it

I'm going to be the sister was his side-piece for quite a while before OP was ghosted by him. They just waited for a bit to make it seem more plausible. Going no contact is the way to go, your family has already started the process.
I'm not sure I would have taken the earrings in the fashion OP did, but I understand why she did. Sounds like the sister didn't learn the lesson with this guy that OP did that he didn't want a committed relationship. Oops! I don't think I would have rubbed it in wearing the earrings to the hospital, just because somebody might have tried to literally rip them out, but... yeah! OP had already been disowned so nothing changed on that front. You do have to wonder how long sister's marriage will last with Mr. I want to be with others too.
As someone who believes in the supernatural (had way too many supernatural experiences not to) the parents trying to discount the dead grandmother's wishes in favor of their golden child daughter was them asking for trouble as, if a deathbed vow is violated intentionally in any way by anyone who made the deathbed vow, the spirit of the person who's deathbed vow was violated is taken from the afterlife and tethered to the residence of the one who broke the deathbed vow until either the things are put back how the spirit wanted it (if it's like OP's situation where it's as simple as "Give this to only one individual and no other person can have it.") or the one(s) who broke the deathbed vow die.
The parents should consider themselves lucky that OP took her rightful inheritance, otherwise they would've had to deal with the deceased grandmother haunting their place as a poltergeist.
Good for OOP that their trash family showed themselves out. OOP should enjoy the insane drama that will continue with some tea and popcorn. Sis does not have any kind of happy ever after, and that trashman already proved the glimmers of what's to come. Trashman will continue to be a terrible partner, and will absolutely start cheating on her sister at some point, if he hadn't already.

The sister is not getting anything but a cheater and will live with mommy with her child for a long, long time. OP is NTA in any way and is the victim. Mom is a B and dad is an enabler who is letting mom and sister treat OP like crap. The heck with him too.
I could never and would never be with someone that had been with a sibling of mine. That's just gross and even if it was a joke and they said I like the way your sibling did this or that I would lose it and that's why I could never and would never be with a siblings ex partner.
