Proud of our anthem! Every Indian knows it by 💓
@@Abhilashreddy4everyone does🙄🙄
@@Fidah sorry i did not even see one time
The Indian National Anthem is written in Bengali by our National poet Rabindra Nath Tagore, a Bengali himself. It has originally 5 parts but only one part is taken as the Anthem as it is very long. Rabindra Nath Tagore won the Nobel prize for literature for his collection of poems, Gitanjali in 1913. Infact he is the poet who composed the National Anthem of Bangladesh too. Here all the great singers and musicians of India came together to sing the National Anthem. 🇮🇳❤😘
True! The song was written in Bengali but with many Tatsama (Sanskrit) words.
He also composed the National Anthem of Srilanka.
@@palashmandal6352 he didnt. His student from Shantiniketan did
@@spilltea4241 correct
I would request you to please use his original name thakur and not the ones british called him by (tagore) as I hope we Indians can say and pronounce thakur correctly
We all sing the national anthem, it's just that they are all great singers and give their 100% while they sing it.
sang it whole school life, feel the energy of crowd at "jai he..jai he" gives shivers..
now before movies also i happily stand, idk why some people habe problem to stand for it
Our national anthem have a set pattern to sing timing (52sec), way, pause everything is already setteled. They just add the musical part
@@ItsYourhighness960 Yes. I used to participate in the school band team as a drummer (8th standard to 12 th standard). During the competition, it was important to maintain the tempo and finish playing the national anthem in exactly 52 seconds. Old memories 🙂
@@vijeshk.r2927 i was also in a band where we had to practice it just to finish it within the time for independece day and republice day national anthem.
@@ItsYourhighness960 😍👍🏻
This is a melodious version of our national anthem. Our national anthem have 52 second time duration for singing.
Just a minute correction, the anthem was not written in 1570, I mean Tagore was not even born then.. It was originally written in Bangla and first perfomed in either 1910 or 1911 (I don't remember exactly when) and was adopted as the Indian National Anthem in 1950 if I'm not wrong..
yaa its wrong infro
also wale got it wrong.. tagore composed for India, Bangladesh not for Pakistan..
he wrote it in bangla was later translated, adopted ver of national anthem of india is in Hindi
@@thegameison. i think it means the Bengali calendar.
In 1912
@@archismansen6680 1570 in bangla calendar hasn't come yet.
@@thegameison. it's not hindi I think.
Small correction -
We all sing this national anthem from our primary classes means from nursery itself all the people from all the parts of India sing this , this is the anthem that binds the entire country we all sing the same anthem and we are very proud of it ❤️✨😌
It was written by Bengali Shri rabindranath tagore ji ❤️
And another correction Pakistan anthem was not written by Rabindranath Tagore ji ( if I am not wrong)
Everyone sings the national anthem. Not just the kids in school, everyone. These artists and great singers and musicians, just do it so much better than the rest of us. Musically speaking.
Got goosebumps....for Every Indian this national anthem is not only a song but emotion ....we feel thrilled by hearing this masterpiece
Same here goosebumps
This version was made in 1997 to commemorate India’s 50th Independence day!
Exactly.
Saw this video in 1997 . Feeling so nostalgic. I was in by graduation.
And now post British India turns 75.
@@hemalbhatt4055 I was in class 2 😅😅
I didn't even born
As per law, the Indian National Anthem lasts 52 seconds. There is even an official musical notation. The song in this video is like an extrapolation of the Indian national anthem, with extended time and lot of play with the (officially approved) notes. It is like the live performance version of a recorded pop song.
India is a diverse nation.. every one has different styles...that shows the cultural heritage ✨
Not pop but a hymn or Bhajan.
Your father is such a knowledgeable and wise person! His excitement in getting exposed to new stuff seems so measured, but he’s able to bring out so much perspective from his wide experience.. love to hear him more on your Channel. Of course, once Wale is back, maybe you could do a trio review. Get well soon Waleska and keep it going Efra, pulling in additional work to keep this channel going 👍🏽💪🏽💪🏽
the Spanish Guitar thing is called Mohana Veena - modified Hawaiian Guitar that was created by Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, who was seen playing it in the video
The urge to stand up while watching this video
Indeed well said ❤️
Had to control sooo bad even before clicking the video thinking should I stand up while the entire reaction!!
You can put hand on your heart…equally accepted gesture for National Anthems
Its not their national anthem
I did stand for whole video for national anthem😂
Bhupen Hazarika is from Assam ..
The 2nd last male singer ...He was 4 yrs older than Lata Mangeshkar ...& Passed away in 2011
Ravindra Nath Tagore was a noble prize winner for his great literary works ...Gitanjali his famous poem book
Every indian can sing the national anthem and mostly in correct rhythm...we have been singing it since school days. We love our anthem...
Our national anthem is in our blood, whenever I hear it tears come to my eyes. Our country has has great sacrifices, given countless lives to enable us to sing our national anthem
4:55 6:53 That's Dr. Bhupen Hazarika The gem of Assam The pride of northeast india ❤️
10:20 i think not only just national anthem but our devotional songs plays very important part on our singing as Indian just like ryhms plays vital role in children's life. For example approximately 80% indians know the Hanuman chalisa
Everybody in India sing the national anthem. All schools daily

I am very much proud to be an Indian. Till my last breath I live in my India and serve my lovely mother India.. Jai hind.

Your father is absolutely right, every Indian kid learns to sing the national anthem in school and masters it, maybe that explains why people in India can sing Indian songs very well. India also has a national song called Vande Mataram, which sounds even better.
Vande mataram written by another bengali Bankim Chandra chatterjee
3:45 The instrument is called MOHAN VEENA and Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt is seen playing it... He won GRAMMY award in 1993
2:53 The instrument is called SANTOOR, Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma is seen playing it with his son Rahul Sharma
Filipino here. I remember singing this at school for a presentation years ago 😍
Efra putting in so much efforts.. Also every one in the video are legends so the way they sing this anthem is more of improvised slightly.
We used to play this one in our school auditorium ....it was everyone's fav ❤️❤️
This video has more legends coming together than any song in the history of Indian music industry.
And ARR can easily be shadowed by atleast a dozen of people who are present in this song.
India has/had some of most godly gifted musical personalities in the world.
Not exaggerating
Exaggeration, it is a bloody understatement.
you should watch the mtv youth version of the indian national anthem. By far my favourite version. Sung by different "modern" singers (but before arijit became famous). Watch it with Waleska please Efra! I'm sure you will enjoy that version!!!
0:58 Actually it's 11000. She holds the Guinness World Record for the most number of single studio recordings.
That is a Bansuri (translates to Bamboo melody). The 'n' in bansuri is only a nasally sound rather than a proper 'n' sound, it's like baa(nasally)+suri.
Actually the national anthem is not in hindi so most of the times ppl don't understand what it says , still we have the melody engraved in our mind ! Like you pick any kid in india he knows the words and melody 💙
Hindi nahi hai? Wtf
@@AshwaniKumar-gh1bx Original song was written by Tagore, so it's in Bengali.

Some details to correct popular misconceptions:
The Indian national anthem 'Jana Gana Mana' is the first stanza of a 4-5 stanza song written by India's first Nobel Laureate in Literature - Rabindranath Tagore (1861 - 1941) in 1911. It was formally adopted as the national anthem in 1950.
Jana Gana Mana is written in Bengali, but the words are mostly 'tatsam' - Sanskritised Bengali They easily pass off as (tatsam) Hindi, as both, Bengali & Hindi are heavily derived from Sanskrit and share the same grammar.
The only difference is in pronounciation. A Bengali would pronounce it 'Jono Gono Mono Odhinayok Joyo He...', while a Hindi speaker would pronounce it as, 'Jana Gana Mana Adhinayak Jaya He...'
Another of Tagore's Bengali songs 'Amar Shonar Bangla' was adopted as the Bangladesh national anthem, after that country was created in 1971. (As Bangladesh shares the Bengali literary & cultural heritage, this was natural) So, technically, it is incorrect to say Tagore 'wrote these national anthems'. They were both songs 'written and set to tune' by him, and 'adopted' as national anthems after his time.
The actual Indian anthem is sung in 52 seconds and livelier than this long drawn out version.
@@AshwaniKumar-gh1bx wtf back at you ! Its not hindi its in bengali , this is basic knowledge
Our days in school starts with the National Anthem without fail. And it brings peace and oneness whenever you sing the National Anthem of our great nation India. Jai Hind 🙏.
It's SPB who holds record for singing most number of songs. Approximately 40,000 in different languages. U should start reacting to his songs
Yesudas?
@@Fidah ofcourse. But I don't think as much as SPB.
Pandit Bhimsen Gururaj Joshi is a legend in Hindustani classical music
Your dad is right . The seed is planted from very young age. From nursery itself . Everyday before the school closes for the day, the anthem will be sung by the school lead singers to which all pupils stand up and respect. And there will be competitions in school festivals for best national anthem singers usually in groups. Also most Indian's can follow the ragas even if they are not trained classical singers.
Simply put these are legends of Indian Classical music in one frame (project)
My daughter started school after a Covid and now she is obsessed with our National Anthem
It’s sung 24*7 at home
She is 6
You really need to watch AR rahman 's "vande mataram".....🤌❤️👌👌👌👌👌
we used to sing this everyday in school during the morning assembly .
This is a fancy version of the natural anthem. This is a song that is so beautiful even without any background helps.
Pls watch more normal versions of the anthem such as school assembly or such
Jai Hind MAESTRO Rahman ji, what a rendition! The TRIRANGA running like the blood in our veins!
Outstanding dear icon, an ultimate tribute to patriotism.

It was not written in 1570(Rabindranath Tagore was born in the year 1861) it was first written in 1911 and adopted by constitution in 1950.
Please Correct me if I'm wrong.
Hey yr dad is cool and truthful. He respect other cultures. Do this with him more👍

Bhim sen Joshi gave murkhi in his 2 seconds singing. It shows his greatness
I always try to stand up for the anthem

Each one of the guys in the song is and are great
Every student sings the anthem every day in school. Every indian know this song. Even in theaters if anthem is played, people stand up in respect. If while walking I hear the anthem, I always have the urge to stand still for that moment if possible.
The instrument that resembles the Spanish guitar is called Mohan Veena. And the name of the artist playing it is Pdt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt.
Also, your dad's right. They teach us our national anthem in school. And we recite it every day in school.
Apologies. Had not seen your post before posting.
This is indian diverse culture but at the time we everyone united by nation. Yeh dil hai hindustani. 💐
Just a kind info but as a Indians we always stand in attention position whenever we have our national anthem 🇮🇳
This national anthem tune is called Desh Raga and is unique in it structure and beats
its on raga bilawaal... Western C major scale..five stanzas, composed and penned by first Asian noble laureate Rabindranath Tagore in 1911...the original is in Bengali version he was a Bengali poet, writer, playwright, composer, philosopher, social reformer and painter ..polymath

Another patriotic project by A R Rahman is "Vande Matharam" was most popular song in india..... 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Also check out his live performance in Oscars..... amazing..... 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
his projects like these are oscar winning stuff
idk why people gave him oscar, recognised his talent so late for jai ho..it wasnt his topmost work
he should have been given that a lot earlier for Dil Se album..it was perfect
@@thegameison. because... oscar is not an indian award..... 🙏
@@jinesh9273 no what i meant to say here is that we shouldnt be after getting oscar
because they recognize our talent only when the work is done in a foreign project as slumdog millionaire wasnt indian movie

so we should loose our obsession for oscars
and be happy recognising our talent on our own

It's sung by everyone but as it is like an official release, I think that's why they've added more in it. Bcoz it is usually sung normally
May she recover soon.
The song was written and composed by India's great poet, Rabindra Nath Tagore, who was also the first person of colour and first Asian to receive a Nobel prize. AR Rahman is just the conductor not composer of this recording of the Indian National Anthem.
Oh no Ar rahman composer what a fooish thought, Rabindra nath thakur is writer and composer both of our national anthem originally written in bengali
Bansuri is bamboo flute. Baans+sur
Baans means bamboo and sur is like, sound/tune. So it's tune/sound produced by bamboo.
The year is 1570 as per Bengali calendar which is 1911 in Gregorian calendar. Tagore wrote the national anthem of India and Bangladesh… he was the first non European to win the Nobel prize in literature in 1913
Singing the national anthem doesn't require good vocals
IT REQUIRES A PURE FEELING AND EMOTIONS OF BEING A PROUD INDIAN.
Also all the artists featured here are the best in their categories. Kind of the We are the World song. I think this was created for Indias 50th anniversary. Just a masterpiece and the whole project belonged to the youngest in the group ARRahman!
Every Indian knows the national anthem. It's actually very thrilling.
Every indian sings this because it's not just song for us its our pride and to honour our country and our flag whenever we heard or sing Jan gan man we automatically stands up even now
There is Pt. Bhimsen Joshi (Bharat Ratna Awardee) ....The stalwart of Indian classical.....the ace name among Indian classical vocalists...
The 'pot' is the GHATAM used as a percussion accompaniment in CARNATIC CLASSICAL MUSIC
@Waleska Herrera
At 3:55, it is Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, a musician steeped in music, of whom almost every member of his extended family (parents, elder sister, both sons, several others) is involved in music in some capacity or the other. He himself is here because of his very strong reputation among musicians and music-lovers and aficionados. Two points might interest you -
his instrument is a slide guitar, that he and others playing it in Indian music call a Mohan Veena;
his exposure to the world of international music is his Grammy award (for Best World Music Album) for the piece A Meeting By The River, that he collaborated on with the artiste Ry Cooder.
So happy to see your father in video
You guys have to give Rabindranath Tagore some props.
The contributions he has towards Indian Industry is immense.
He is a poet , writer , playwright, composer , philosopher , social reformer , and painter - all his works are exceptional beyond belief
And the one who wrote this masterpiece, is Asian First Nobel Laureate in Literature.
Finally a perfect video 👍

Ravindra nath Tagore is Noble prize winner for literature.
It’s S P Balasubramaniam who holds the world record for maximum songs recorded in his voice. Also, Bala Murali Krishna is the singer who was a prolific Carnatic singer who even founded new ragas.

The "pot" is a Ghatam - a traditional South Indian percussive instrument. It's fascinating and apparently difficult to master.
At @3:57 - That's a Mohan Veena invented by Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt
That one is an Indian modified version of te guitar created by (and played in the video by) Pandit Biswa Mohan Bhatt. It is called Rudra Veena or Indian slide guitar.
M S Subbulakshmi was a great Indian Carnatic singer
1`570, no, Rabindranath Tagore was born in 1861. Jana Gana Mana is dated ti 1911 and some say it was an ode to the British monarch who ruled India at that time. It was adopted in 1950 as the national anthem.
AR is from india...specially when he is singing national anthem
Every indian sings the anthem from the time they can speak..it is sung on every national occassion and public event. The tempo is faster and we dont need to be classical singers to sing it.irs our pride, our hearbeat!
Tagore had composed 2500+ songss ...plzz make time to hear some of them.just gold mine from Bengal
Rabrinanath Tagore is a Noble prize recipient This was not composed in 1570 but in early 20th century . But excellent arrangement by AR Rahman. This is written in Bengali. There were some protests to rewrite since this was written during the united india ( Pakistan is referred as Sindh). He composed the indian and Bangladesh national anthems. Many of the singers in this video are no more. SPB passed away a few years ago, Latha last year , Bhimsen Joshi in 2011, Dr Balamurali Krishna 2016. DK Pattamal, 2009 and the list goes on.
The first male singer is Dr. Balamurali krishna. Lata and SPB have sung more than 40 thousand songs.
It's actually a very easy anthem to sing along to
Yes, you are right it is a 'Bansuri' type of flute there are many types
of flutes but the 'N' is silent so sounds like 'Basuri'!!!
The anthem is explain what india is what india stand for what india have and india have the victory
Its repeated many times with many well known artists with their instruments AR also try the same
