    I recieved one of these a few days ago through the local shop where i live and he used his account to order through you a PSE stinger extreme 2018 with the pro bow kit package. What we got when we opened it was a whisker biscuit instead of the drop release, some things were missing with the arrows, one of the pins where broken on the sight, it looked different to what you have in the video. The store owner wasn't impressed but he fixed everything for me & used his gear to make things right. For i'm only a newbie & learning & this was my 1st bow purchase to learn with & it wasn't a great start with the delivery. Hopefully he has got in touch with your store for he took some photo's, etc.
    Had my 1st shot today with it & loving it, got it sighted in at 20m ( with a sight supplied by the dealer ) and shooting all yellow. From Toowoomba

    I use one of these. It's absolutely fantastic for the price point as a first compound.

    That's the bow I just purchased. I've been away from archery for over 25 years. I am looking forward to returning with such a great bow. I plan to start at a much lower draw weight and increase as I conform to the bow. Thanks for the detailed adjustments, but please adjust the camera to the work area so we don't miss so much!

    So, I bought one of these as my first compound bow back in June on, mostly, Steven's recommendation. I bought my Decut Basha Pro recurve a year earlier on his recommendation too.
    Yesterday is was the county championship, and I didn't shoot it, I felt too new. It was won with a Portsmouth score of 585/600. By someone with thousand of pounds worth of kit.
    The day before I shot 580/600 in my local club, which would have been good enough for second at the championship.
    With a Stinger Extreme, a cheap blade rest, cheap arrows, cheap stabilisers and cheap sight and scope.
    Thanks again Steven!

    It's interesting that according to the adjustment charts, reducing the draw length on the "grow with me" cam setting will reduce the draw weight as you demonstrated but not on the "performance" cam setting. I would be interested to see if the draw weight actually remains the same at various draw lengths while in the performance setting.

    Steven...Merry Christmas mate from Bonnie Scotland, hope you had a good one. My performX 3d has landed in the UK. Thanks for your reviews really helped. Require one more bit of advice. The 2018 stinger 50# or the hoyt fireshot 50#. Both are fully adjustable depending on kids draw length and poundage which I am aware. Which would you say has it over the other. Both my kids have 23.5" draw and pulling approx 24 to 25 lbs. Look forward to hearing back from you. Cheers

    Hi Steve.Just got a 2018 stinger,nice bow i really like it. I am a little confused about the centershot.I notice the cam and idler wheel are offset from the center of the limbs, do you go with center from the middle of the hand grip or over to the left?

    So if you lengthen the string to reduce the poundage can you bump the 55# to 60# with a slightly shorter string? I ask because my son chose the 55# and is wondering if he made the right decision.

    • @ArcherySuppliesLonsdale
      @ArcherySuppliesLonsdale  6 років тому

      No you can't lengthen string as it will roll over. You could shorten the yoke to increase poundage.

    • @davidwood3606
      @davidwood3606 6 років тому

      No worries I was basing that on your review where you were considering that as a possibility to get the poundage down for that lad who needed 26#. I just revisited the review and it was the cable not the string, my bad.

  • @gmivisualsjason3729

    So.. Recently bought one of these.
    Love it.
    Fantastic bow for the money.
    Unfortunately after a good few hours shooting i noticed for some unknown reason my group 4/6 in 10 ring at 80yds) had dropped to low 9's.
    Got home just looking over the bow and noticed the riser had cracked under the stabiliser bushing.
    Covered under warranty but perhaps a design fault in the new riser design..??? Time will tell.
    Another one arriving next week

    • @WDTVman
      @WDTVman 6 років тому

      not much review on this 2018 model, hope it just a faulty cast riser

    • @gmivisualsjason3729

      The replacement comes this week. Im not convinced it wont happen again

      Any news on the replacement bow ?

    • @gmivisualsjason3729
      @gmivisualsjason3729 6 років тому

      Kane856 replacement arrived safely. Set the bow up as before, shoots great.
      Im a big fan of the Stinger. Perfectly acceptable for all forms of archery including target. Once stabilisation added shoots and holds well despite the ATA
      My main target bow is a PSE Dominator ME and when i compare the two scores wise not much in it to be honest.
      All about the archer and less the bow i think.
      Hand shock/vibration minimal. Has a nice responsive feel to it.
      Paint finish (black) was very good and fairly hard wearing.
      Range of adjustment draw length/poundage is great.
      Strings and cables of very good quality although id recommend serving under the cable slide to prolong life of cables and feel of the draw.
      I personaly replaced with saunders power slide increasing speed and also added some speed nocks.
      An excellent bow.
      Still not fully confident in the strength of the skeletonised design of the riser. But time will tell.
      PSE obviously confident in the design by offering lifetime warranty to original owner.
      A couple of comments below talk about the limb pockets being plastic. Plastic to me is a word that suggests cheap and brittle, easy to break poor quality.
      But not these....
      The pockets are excellent rock solid.

    wondering if anyone has had any issues the cable guide post screw? i bought the 2018 stinger extreme and the screw that holds the post seems greatly inadequate. its a very small screw which only uses a chamfer / countersunk head to grip the post. even though the screw was fully tight, the post came loose after just 10 shots. the screw requires a T25 torques key to tighten it, i had to wedge a pin between the countersunk head and the post to get it to tighten. haven't shot it yet since the fix so im hoping this fix will stop it coming loose . id be interested to hear from others about this screw issue. cheers

    I love it when people want somthing for nothing or can't take responsibility for there owe stuff up. I had a Remington pump action rifle and I lost my footing one day and landed on the center of the gun. Guess what i did took it to the gun shop and sold it to them after telling them the barrel was bent. I couldn't hit the side of a barn with the thing not to mention hit a deer good enough to kill it. Be responsible and owe your faults because no one else can do it for you. Love your videos mate getting a PSE stinger soon can't wait to sling some arrows.

      Depends on who you ask...as a rule of thumb I don't generally do more than 2 full turns per limb then switch. Haven't ever had an issue with tiller length following that pattern.

    • @scotteger6271
      @scotteger6271 4 роки тому

      The plastic pockets are a nonissue. Modern polymers can be as strong as metal. The company also designed it to work with the plastic pockets. Just make sure it is setup correctly and everything is evenly adjusted and it'll be fine
