Awesome product. Would love to see an option come out like this for the 2019+ 2500s. There's a lot of us that would love a "power wagon style" winch option on our regular 2500s!

VICE design, you have made an awesome product, super easy to install and very straight forward instructions. I have absolutely no regrets getting it, other than waiting so many months to install it... I'd add that @7:35 the easiest way to separate the headlight cover at the fender side from the plastic clamps is to insert a screwdriver in between the cover and the black clamp (that is under the cover) from direction tire towards headlight and gently pry it, that in fact was the hardest part for me in installing the winch. GREAT JOB!
Customer of mine who ordered a new Ram Rebel ordered one of your kits, as well. If I ever want to add a winch to my 2017 Rebel, I'll be sure to look you up. But first I need to replace the stolen winch on my 2004 LJ.....
Just to let you guys know...After installing and hooking the battery back up, I lost my cameras. Couldn't for the life of me figure it out. We were looking for a bad fuse and couldn't find it. After doing some research online, I ran across an article that said sometimes it takes 24 hours for the system to reboot itself. Finger's crossed, we went and checked an hour later and YAY my cameras are back. My bumper sensors are not working yet though, so I am gonna give it a little more time and hope they come back too.
Will this work on Ram 1500 Rebel with Air suspension? Any upgrade needed to suspension to support the additional weight? Will you need to repeat the installation process if the winch fails and needs to be replaced?
Yes it will! No additional upgrades needed. The winch and bracket add under 120lbs and the air suspension will automatically adjust to maintain the same ride height. The winch can be removed without performing the entire installation process. We recommend using the WARN VR EVO 10-s or 12-s for the best reliability and useability.
Very nice and clean kit. Should work with a night edition Laramie front bumper as well, right? The grey Laramie at the end retained some of the OEM mesh, is that an option?
Might be a dumb question but will this work with a generic grille guard installed? It doesn't look like it would be in the way but I'm not sure if any of the mounting hardware would interfere. Thanks in advance!

I did this back in 2013 for my Bighorn 1500. i cut down a Mopar winch bracket and mounted it underneath. The winch was a 12k lbs winch from Harbor freight. I then bought the remote for the winch and hardwired it right behind the grill. I bought some 2012 Power Wagon decals and rebadged the truck. Guys at Orange Park Dodge Service said it fooled them at first, said it looked factory.
They obviously didn't know that power wagons are strictly 2500. I bet all the Power Wagon owners passed you laughing their asses off with the wagon graphics on a 1500 with a harbor freight winch.👉😆👈 😆

we do, were on Vancouver Island, Canada. Any reputable shop that installs 4x4 accessories like lift kits etc would be able to complete this installation
How much and where all the brackets from? Smitty built as well as winch? Will the brackets work with the BadLands 12k wireless winch or just Smitty built?????¿¿¿?????
It will bolt up (as it uses the standard bolt pattern) but there are a few reasons I'd look at skipping the badlands and investing into a winch we based the winch mount around ( WARN VR EVO or Smittybilt GEN 2 X20 ) 1. Wireless Remotes - Makes using the winch so much easier, no need to crawl under the bumper to plug it in. 2. Synthetic Rope - about 20lbs less than steel cable, and a lot safer! You'll have to buy a hawse fairlead for the steel cable. 3. Waterproof Rating - The winches we recommend are waterproof up to 3 feet underwater, while the Badlands is just mist/splash proof 4. Clutch handle relocation - We've made an accessory that puts the winch clutch handle directly on the bumper to make it easy to spool out your hook. 5. Internal Brakes - the ZXR brake mechanism is on the outside of the winch exposed to getting rusty. I like these moving parts to be internal and protected. 6. Control Box relocation Kit - We've made an optional accessory that puts the brain box of the winch in your engine bay to make it super easy to plug in, as well keep it protected from dirt, mud and roadgrime. Definately extends the life of your winch. Hope that helps!

Two things. 1. Looks like you forgot to renew your domain name because I’m getting the GoDaddy renewal notice when I visit your site. 2. What about a mount for the ecodiesel rebel? It has an intercooler in that lower grill area that I suppose needs relocating.

Hi Ed - This one works only with this body style 1500. We just finished developing a winch for 2010-2018 RAM 2500/3500 that came with the Hemi Motor (5.7,6.4). It will be on the website later this week and we'll post a youtube video on how to install it.

The mounting kit with all the hardware is about 60lbs. The WARN VR EVO with synthetic line is 65 lbs. If you're running steel cable on the winch add about 25lbs.
@vicedesigninc Do you think there would be any issues on any of the front-end components of a stock Rebel with the added weight? I feel like I've seen somewhere that things may break when off reading due to the extra weight?

Well you are half right. It Will void the factory warranty on that particular part and any part that directly relates to it. However it will not void the factory power train or drive train warranty, completely unrelated parts and systems. With all that being said I would have to assume that most of the people who would be installing this kit fully intend on using the truck in a manner that would void the warranty anyway and because of this they don’t care.
Theres a cooler (believe it's a water to air) for the supercharger that sits behind the bumper. I havnt been able to get my hands on a trx to come up with a relocation mount for it but if you figure out how to move it out of the way then the 2019-2021 rebel kit will bolt right up!

Back up and running! And you are correct - currently the kit only fits the gas motor versions
What about the electrical connections? Doesn't show to wire the winch to power and controller

What is the purpose of removing the pieces under the headlights? I was able to remove my bumper leaving those on
How much did your kit cost?
Yeah it comes off without removing them but It sure makes it easier to re-install the bumper on with the winch mount there doing it this way.
