"Another Park, Another Sunday" w/Lyrics- Doobie Brothers

"Another Park, Another Sunday" was the "A" side of the single but according to lead singer and songwriter, Tom Johnston, radio stations did not like the line, "...and the radio just seems to bring me down." So, stations flipped and played the "B" side, ""Black Water" which became a #1 hit. I've included the full story of this song in the middle of the video.-HistoricusJoe

I guess I always liked the’ deeper cut’ Doobie songs like this and and I Cheat the Hangman, songs you rarely hear on the radio. You do nice videos, it’s nice to have the lyrics too. Thanks.

Man the radio stations were so sensitive! Sorry their feelings got hurt. Who gives a crap about that line. It’s just a song! I’ve heard worse lines that don’t ban a song. Fortunately, the Doobies got the last laugh with Black Water going to number one!😂
