    • @PassTheGuitarLIVE

      The A chord can definitely be a bit challenging to get a clean sound specifically because you have to place 3 finger on the same fret. You can start by checking this video where I go over how to play the A chord step by step covering the possible challenges and how to avoid them: ua-cam.com/video/PDcQ_kdsZoM/v-deo.html Another great video you can check out is the one I cover the 4 tips to getting clean sounding chords: ua-cam.com/video/O55YSxMqlJw/v-deo.html You can also try a finger variation for the A chord where you switch the position of the 1st and 2nd fingers. Hope this helps you. 🙃

    What if u can't reach to the fret bar? Say ring finger on C major

    • @PassTheGuitarLIVE
      @PassTheGuitarLIVE  Рік тому

      That’s a great question!! The idea is to place the finger as close as possible avoiding staying too close to the fret bar furthest from you. When playing the C Major chord, make sure your pointer finger is placed as close as possible to the fret bar closest to you. By doing that you will give the middle finger and the ring finger a better chance to be placed next to the fret bars closest to you. Please let me know if this makes sense to you. 🙂

    I have a question, should bends be hard? Like am I supposed to easily do it or is it supposed to be hard on the fingers? Keep in mind I'm using 3 fingers each time I bend.

    • @PassTheGuitarLIVE
      @PassTheGuitarLIVE  Рік тому

      Although bends can be challenging, what makes bends even more challenging is the tension of the strings and the action on the guitar neck. Acoustic steel string guitars tend to be the most difficult instruments to do bends because the strings are usually pretty tense. On the other hand, electric guitars (especially with light gauge strings) can be much easier. High action (height of the strings) can also make bends harder since the strings would further away from the fretboard resulting in you having to apply more strength to press down. The idea of using 3 fingers is very helpful in the beginning as you build strength. Maybe look into changing strings to a lighter gauge and switch back as you become more comfortable with bends. Also check the tension on your guitar neck. Make sure you don’t have too much of a bow on the neck. In the end, it is completely normal to struggle with bends. Just keep practicing and you will definitely see results. Hope that helps.

    How about D minor and D major chord while strumming the 3 thin strings? Mine just doesn't make a sound at all

    • @PassTheGuitarLIVE
      @PassTheGuitarLIVE  Рік тому +2

      Great question. Those 2 chords are pretty challenging because they sit low on the fretboard and you have to cram 3 fingers together. Make sure you position the your thumb properly Center on the neck, don’t let the neck test on the palm of your hand, and arch your fingers. Check out this video:

    My fingers unintentionally touches the e string so it doesnt get any sound how do i fix it

    • @PassTheGuitarLIVE
      @PassTheGuitarLIVE  Рік тому

      That’s usually caused by a finger being not curled enough or the hand touching the neck on the bottom. There are 4 other things you need to check for proper hand placement: 1 - Make sure you use the tip of your fingers to press on the strings. 2 - Place your thumb centered behind to help give you support. 3 - Make sure you curl your fingers for a good arch. And 4 - Don’t let your hand rest on the neck (under). Check out this short video: ua-cam.com/users/shortsBM6k733JTJQ?feature=share Let me know if this helped you.

    How about G chord? my B and high e keep buzzing

    • @PassTheGuitarLIVE
      @PassTheGuitarLIVE  9 місяців тому

      Great question! The same idea applies. However you also should pay attention to how curled your fingers are. Since you need to position your fingers from strings 6 to 1, it may force you to flatten your finger a bit. Make sure you position your thumb closer to the center on the neck and make sure your hand is not resting on the bottom on the neck. Check this video for some points you should observe when positioning your hand on the neck. ua-cam.com/users/shortsBM6k733JTJQ?si=c3qknY6VM-qQgfIq I hope this helps you. 🙂

    How to stop buzzy sound at F chords

    • @PassTheGuitarLIVE
      @PassTheGuitarLIVE  Рік тому

      Bar chords (barre chords) are definitely more challenging. But the idea is the same. The closer you are to the fret bar the better. Try to make sure you are getting a clean sound out of the 3 fingers that are not doing the bar. That’s gonna make it sound a lot better. And then work on the finger that does the bar. Let me know if that helped. 🙂

    • @PassTheGuitarLIVE

      That’s very common. Most of the time what causes string buzzing is hand positioning. I always recommend students to check 4 important aspects of hand positioning. Here’s a short video going over these 4 tips: ua-cam.com/users/shortsBM6k733JTJQ?feature=share

      That’s very common. As beginners we have move our finger more than we which ends hitting other strings and making more sounds than what we intended. One thing you can work on is called anchor finger. Find common fingers between the chords that you are changing and when you move from one chord to another, make sure you keep that finger (or those fingers down. Hey, i have the problem with the lowest string, it buzz when I try a strumming pattern, even tho I press hard close to fret where u shown, what could be the case? It's happening with all frets above 1-7. Maybe it's because string get old? I didn't change my string in like 2 years, or my guitar is faulty?

    • @PassTheGuitarLIVE
      @PassTheGuitarLIVE  Рік тому

      That’s a great. Old strings can cause more problems, but it seems like you might need to do a neck adjustment or a fret leveling since the buzz happens or it’s worse for some frets. If you don’t know how to make adjustments on your guitar, I would suggest you bring it to a guitar shop for them to take a look at it.

    When i press any string that string mute ... Idk this is normal or i am noob..

    • @PassTheGuitarLIVE
      @PassTheGuitarLIVE  Рік тому +1

      It shouldn’t mute. Make sure to position your thumb behind the neck, arch your fingers, press with the tips of your fingers, position the finger near the fret bar closest to you, and make sure you press well not too hard. 👍

      You can try an alternate fingering version. Place your 2nd finger on 4th string/2nd fret, 1st finger on 3rd string/2nd fret and 3rd finger on 2nd string/2nd fret. This can help you squeeze all three fingers.

      It’s hard to say that without seeing the guitar. But it’s common that guitars can be naturally making buzzy sounds and they may need adjustments (part of maintenance). A good way to check that is by playing on 1 string at a time through every fret (from open to at least 12th fret). That can help you see if any of the strings are buzzing. You can also check if your guitar neck is bowed. A little concave bow is ok. A hump is definitely not good. Having that said, getting a clean sound is one of the top challenges for beginners. So there are 5 things you need to check for proper hand placement: 1 - Use the tip of your fingers to press on the strings. 2 - Place your fingers near the fret bar closest to you. 3 - Position your thumb centered behind for proper support. 4 - Curl your fingers to make a good arch. And 5 - Don’t let your hand rest on the bottom of the neck. Check out this video ua-cam.com/users/shortsBM6k733JTJQ?feature=share Let me know if this was helpful.

      @@Zoldyck-FF When using multiple fingers in different frets like the C Major chord, you should get your pointer finger as close as possible to the fret bar to help get the other fingers closer. The goal is to avoid placing your fingers towards the fret bar FURTHEST from you which will definitely cause buzz sounds. Take your time as you practice finger placement. And make sure you practice finger placement isolated (only focusing on it). In time, it will become second nature and you won't need to think about it as much. And most important, be patient and persistent. Learning to play the guitar takes time. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions. 🙂
