I found my great grandpa as a witness to a wedding in my grandma’s hometown in East Prussia. It listed his age so I was able to get his birth year and discover his birth record and parents from that birth record. Yay.

Found a marriage bond for a Great Aunt in Lechner County, KY. Apparently she and the groom went there from Lee County, VA. But all the information for the marrying parties was left blank. The JP that married them was also one of the 2 witnesses. This was in 1897. Just don’t understand all that information was blank

It was not unusual for couples to find locations where they could marry that would allow them to bypass local requirements -- such as age restrictions, parental disapproval, publication of personal information ("early" pregnancy, other existing marriage, etc). Are there many other blank marriage documents performed by that JP?
