- This Celeste ARB (All Red Berries) TAS was primarily created by euni, fishmcmuffins, Kilaye, sashabell, tong815, Lanvilla, wafer and myself.
Over 1 minute and 45 seconds saved since last full ARB TAS release and roughly 1 minute and 7 seconds saved since last 100% TAS release.

I mean it probably wasn't that bad. Brainstorm a bit and then TAS a couple of routes to know roughly what's the fastest. I've routed the huge mess in my etselec any% TAS so I know kind of what its like.

yeah, i cant do demodashes well so the best ive got is 1:02

Demodashws barely save time, as it is too hard to do consistently without a setup. My pb is 36:29 with one demo, but that only saves 15 seconds
The fastest I could do was 1:32:00. Keep in mind this is also the guy who has no clue how to do a demo dash, is crazy clumsy, and quite frankly can’t go 10 seconds without dying because he thought it would look cool to try hyper dash past every obstacle they could. 😅

When I played through the game the first time I always tried to get a berry chain going but never got more then a few. Seeing them all follow behind like that is really satisfying.

dwango has never worked on any Celeste tas. This tas was made by the "same people" as the old one you are probably thinking off, except the community has grown a ton since then and there have been many more eyes on the tas files.
Yeah maingame TAS is never about competition. Everyone just makes contributions to the community TAS because making your own would be a waste of time.

If this is arb, why did you skip the berries to the left when you get into crossing at 2:16?
After finishing the level, they replay from that checkpoint and go left for the berries, then return the map. It ends up being faster than getting them all in one go
just curious? why do they skip a couple of berries and come back after they beat the level wouldn't that just waste time
i think that the crasiest thing here is that the human wr is only 10 minutes behind
10 minutes is a LOT in speedrunning
I'm sure this has been asked before, and the answer is probably still similar, but what's the longest berry train in the run?
Edit: I rewatched the whole Summit section and kept track, and I'm pretty sure that a maximum of 26 berries were in the train at two different points during the 3000M section, including the very end.
I honestly wouldn't know without analyzing the video myself, but it's also something that might change again with new improvements, because berry collection routing plays an important part in optimizing the TAS. If you were specifically trying to get the longest berry train possible, that would be around 40 berries in summit.

So I started celeste tasing recently, mainly minimum dashes arb, how does corner boosting work?
in short: climb jumping on a wall gives you a +40 speed boost, and touching a wall for less than 4 frames will give you your speed back after you pass the wall. If you have more questions I would recommend you to join the official celeste discord server, we have a speedrunning and tasing section there
i would not recommend starting with dashless at all, it's a lot harder than most other tas stuff
I don't care if this TAS is impossible for humans, this is still what it feels like to play Celeste at any skill level.
My favourite thing is when Madeline completely skips the Badeline boost in ch 7. "Shut up i got it"
I'm wondering, why do you finish 8a once you have all 5 berries. Couldn't you exit to map and be done as soon as you collect the fifth one? Absolutely epic run.

Okay, I might have just discovered speedruns for this game, but a question I have is, why do you go to chapter 6 b-side
Cause its faster than the A-side
@@UltraMarlin aight, I'm guessing all the b-side versions of these chapters are faster, or atleast some are, but you only went with it in chapter 6 because their are no berries in chapter 6, I might not be making sense, I have only played through A-side chapters 1-7 and some of chapter 1 b-side so far
@@Yagyrl a bunch of b sides are faster than the a sides, but only in chapter 5 and 6 its also faster to get the cassette in the a-side and then play the b-side. Any% doesnt need the red berries so we do 5b and 6b there. Another advantage of doing 6b in ARB is that we get a heart from beating 6b and we need 4 hearts to enter chapter 8

I'm curious, is there a true 100% tas for Celeste (all 202 berries, all b and c sides, all full clears) and I'd it under an hour? Probably not because Farewell needs to be beaten twice for golden but ehh? I'd not a true 100% than just a regular one aka one without thr goldens. I'm just looking for a link to a video or something
there is no such tas for a few reasons
1: full clears aren't necessary for any category
2: goldens are literally just doing a chapter but again, so it's not very interesting
3: just 100% by itself (no goldens, no full clears necessary) is 1:13:xx so good luck doing that AND all the goldens in less than an hour

is it faster to not save and quit in the 3a heart for Tas or is that a choice to not breakup the run
not sure if its faster IGT actually, but the difference would be very small for tas. We are trying to avoid s&q's though
