I use a bit of road traffic but I don't use AI traffic. My cloud setting is completely maxed out however for your computer the minimum setting is best. self shadowing should be turned off, its a massive frame killer. ground aircraft shadows are fine though, and make sure you turn off ground scenery shadows.
Because of the way the FSX world is designed textures will blur much more easily in Antarctica than other parts of the world. One of the solutions is to put the LOD radius up to 8.5 in the FSX.cfg, however make sure you got a good GPU since even with my GTX670 it sometimes has problems very near to the south pole.
Hi, I actually used a recording tool which allowed me to record FSX at maxed settings with no lag, even with the i3 as for settings i think the most important slider is the autogen density slider. normal or dense is the best setting for an i3, also turn of aircraft shadowing
I know this is asking for a lot, but can you please tell me what sort of settings you used for FSX and any tweaks before when you had the I3 and 4670. I have very similar specs and would like to achieve the same performance you do.

Is that self shadowing or aircraft shadows? Also what sort of scenery settings do you use and any traffic? My cloud settings right now are at minimum.

Yes, it has to do with the graphics card AND your RAM memory too.
Just make sure you have at least 8 gigabyte ram.
