As a skateboarder I wonder how much of that trash came from other skaters and how much was from people just chucking it out of their car window because you seemed to see a lot of it next to the curb.
i think i would find more if i went first thing in the morning, i went long periods without finding a can or bottle (not general trash tho lol) on the live

I collect cans and I started because I would be at the spot and there would be 5 different crews of guys all drinking a 12 pack each.
That 15$ board was sweet

You should get together a group to do a park cleanup or something. I'm from OC but work (and for a couple years lived) in LA. My biggest gripe with LA other than the traffic is just how dirty it is. Part of it is ppl just dgaf, but also see trash cans overflowing w/ trash so even if people wanted to they couldn't properly dispose of their trash. Just like the guy who got the bottle cap, it's nice seeing someone doing the community right

When i was homeless i would go to the transit stations and gas stations get the cans out of the garbage. I was making 40-80$ per day

It records and broadcasts at the same time, the broadcast needs to be a lower bitrate but the recording is proper video quality

Pro tip. Glass isn’t generally worth it. The space and weight it takes vs how much space cans and bottles take crushed. This is mainly a tip for kids or people without a vehicle. Happy hunting 🤘

In Germany we pay up to 25 cents up front for every bottle/can snd then get it bsck when we return them empty to the supermarket machine. Kinda surreal seeing the absymal return and the amount of littering (I guess that's connected but at least throw that shit in the trash).

I'd just say to maybe at least take the pee-pee bottles to the nearest garbage receptacle, but I totally understand not wanting to lug those around in your recycle bag(nasty). Thank you for doing this, Ricky. The environment truly appreciates your efforts.

Homies usesd to always hunt for vans, mod a twin to fit in there, (if utility can we would buy a carpet from biglots and a piece of wood, cut it out like a floor and the just make shims to balance it out, toss a twin mattress in there, and we would just go, never super far, but philly Jamestown Bowl was probably the gnarliest thing i ever road, and i dream of going back, for something, i have something there.

great vid rick. try collecting golf balls around the many golf courses in so cal, you could interact with the golfers as u collect and try to sell them. they mostly mid income and above dudes, u could ask them what changes they would like to see in LA or get their opinion of skaters. maybe call ahead so u dont get chased off by the marshals

@@rickyglaser along the sides of the courses in the weeds, and in the water traps and lakes. some peoples houses are in bad spot, and a bunch of balls will collect along their roofs in the drain gutters is another good one. the water traps can be a gold mine, we used to do this all the time as kids/teens. as long as u get permission should be ok, or there are some public courses, those will likely be picked clean tho. tell the club house u wont sell them on their course
@@rickyglaser oh and no its not stealing, they are lost balls that the customers bring themselves, just dont go collecting the range balls, those usually have a stripe on them

@@rickyglaser yeah but luckily I didn’t have to go around town looking for cans cause my family recycles and my homie blessed me with his old trucks and wheels all I had to do was sort them out empty em out and crush them it was like 40$ worth of all aluminum and plastic very little glass but they pay very little for that anyways w vid tho mate ✌🏻💚
