Hail glorious morn! There is nothing better than watching Karen Hale bring some light and love and beauty into this world. Thank you and congratulations on another wonderful piece of art. The colours are as always, beautiful, and the detail ingenious. Such a gift.
Hi, I like this painting very much, I was fascinated watching the picture unfold. I admire your bravery and the way you embrace change - altering and removing marks. Thank you for sharing this video.
you all probably dont give a shit but does anyone know of a tool to log back into an Instagram account..? I somehow lost the account password. I would appreciate any tips you can give me
@Karter Draven i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and im waiting for the hacking stuff now. I see it takes quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Always an absolute delight to watch you at work Karen. Live your oalette and composition. You maje it look completely effortless - which if course is reallt the product of hard work, raw talent and learned technique. Thanks so much for sharing. Love the process and the finished artwork. Greetings from Scotland 👍
Stunning, Karen, and somehow a departure from your earlier work. I always look forward to your demos and you never disappoint. Thank you very much! 👩🏻🎨
Fascinating to see how all the layering contributes to the subtlety of the finished piece. Hadn’t appreciated the significance of the spray bottle! Love the way the painting has a strong figurative element in spite of its abstract style. Learnt a lot from your demo - thanks.
Such a good demo! I really like the technique with the paper to add texture. I’ve been making abstract prints and I’m switching to acrylic on canvas soon. This was helpful!
Curious, if your title is in response to what's going on in the world today? It's interesting that out of adversity, you can bring beauty to the world, while others destroy it. Thank you for sharing your gift ♡
Thanks for watching, Geraldine. I work instinctively and spontaneously and have no idea how to teach that. I hope you can enjoy them as they are. This is a side project for me and have limited time to make and edit them.
I was mezmorized watching you paint.. I loved it... I too like using the scrunched paper technique... Im curious.. what were the words written in the yellow ? Not sure if you wrote them or was a stamp, that part wasnt shown but the words looked like Art is Fail... (something) ? The end result was beautiful. Thank you Karen, for sharing this with us.
Thanks for watching, Rhonda. My videos are a glimpse into my process and not meant to be a tutorial but I have many people tell me they find them helpful. Try adjusting the speed setting the lower right corner of the video. That might help you.
Another beautiful piece. Do you plan ahead what you are going to paint or does it just come to you as you are painting? I think you are using fluid acrylic paint-maybe that's why I can't seem to blend with the catalyst. I'll keep trying
Thanks for your comment. I start with a concept and palette in mind but that often changes. There is a list of the paint I use in the "see more" section.

Wonderful painting process and result!
Do you worry about the long-term impact of using so much water on your paints?
I don't add water to my paint on the palette and have not had a problem with spraying the water.

water

your Colors are fluid and still needs so much water to work with ? I thought that by fluid it means what it means.. thanx so much for sharing ..
Fluid acrylic paint has a thinner viscosity than some others. I still prefer to add water for a wash look.
So beautiful! What are you using in the beginning to paint with? A sponge, a clothe or what?
A sponge.
Does anyone know what she sprays on while painting? Thanks😊
It's water.
Hi! I'm new to painting, is this oil? Or acrylic? Still trying to figure out which i should pursue
It's acrylic
What are all these tools you are using? At the start it almost looked like a simple sponge.
Just saw you pointed someone to your blog regarding tools. Going to go check it out :)
You're right, it is a sponge.
Do you use acrylic or oil?
acrylic
I wish you had not skipped over the first downsweep of deep blue, etc,
Sorry you found the demo lacking. I sometimes forget to turn the camera on.
