Stress, pressure, drugs, self doubt, no support. And he is still the greatest. Just imagine if he hadn’t had to deal with such bullshit all his life.
Crazy to think he peaked at 23/24 years old.
@@dj71162 Brian’s creative peak was 1964-67, culminating in the aborted Smile album. That’d make Brian 22-25 during this period, he was born in 42. Pretty damn remarkable at that age.

All the same, The Beach Boys are amazing all around!
Brian's weight has always fluctuated due to his lifestyle and medication he's on but when he lost all that weight in the 80's it rapidly aged him and you could see it his face especially in 1986 and 1987. Never the less he turned into a good looking man then. I think he looked younger in the 90's than he did in the 80's. He's had a hard life but he's still with us.
I agree. before the landy program in 1982-83, He looked younger.
@@GDMod23 It was the unhealthiest of programs as he was on 600 calories a day.
are you kidding? it took 20 years off his appearance! I remember one writer saying "Brian looked like the only guy in the band that could have been a surfer".

Brian Wilson evolution from 62-67. Then 2 songs per album in 70,71,2,2 =8......then Love you....then hit&miss But No1 ever came close to him, not Spector., Not the moptop 🐞 s(beatles)....NO ONE.

Imagine how gd he would look for 79 years old if he hadn’t lead that life?!!!
propably better than all the remaining other beach boys. considering the weight gains and losses, drugs etc. he really did age surprisingly well. if you saw him shirtless back in the 80s youd never thought he was that heavy once. he did have a facelift in about 1990 i think. if i was him i would have had some work done on the neck as well, although i am normally against most plastic surgery.

Brian now has his own band. Mike Love has the rights to the name Beach Boys. For all intentional purposes, if it was'nt for Brian Wilson there would be no Beach Boys.

how his voice radically changed from 1969 to 1972 it´s hard to believe
i think it really changed in 1975. at that point his sweet, soft voice was gone. although he kind of got it back in the late 90s.

The only BS was the abuse he inflicted on himself. That changed that amazing voice
Brian smoked alot to make his voice deeper as he believed he sounded like a girl.
wow, the difference in his voice and especially his falsetto from 74-75. Took a year of smoking and doing cocaine to ruin it...
I think Brian's least thing to do is to exercise.
