    A few questions...
    1. In each of the positions, this will allow for a greater lean angle than factory rearsets, correct? Without the pegs being able to fold, I would expect so. Have you touched the new pegs down?
    2. In the most rearward position, does it practically necessitate a higher seating position to retain comfort, especially on half-day rides?
    3. Will these help me meet women?

    Hi, well done on the review, did you alter or had to modify the rear break line?

      Thank you for your question! The brake line fits just fine, but you will need to rewire the brake sensor with the supplied kit. I hope this helps!

    Far more adjustability than stock, but for me at 5` 6" this bike stock ergonomics are perfect. I would never want to relocate pegs further back, so counter productive, it's not a sport bike where you need high clearance for cornering, in addition, your knee is going to be in a negative angle thus putting more stress on your wrist, I'm happy its improved comfort for u , but I would never recommend doing that mod to such a perfect ergonomic motorcycle . Love my v7 iii, all stock

      Different folks have different preferences, that is why it is great that different solutions are available on the market. For my use case of the bike, 80% at 110km/h+, averaging 300km+ on a day on the open & windy Texas highways, my setup makes more sense. But I'm glad the stock setup works well for you. Thank you for watching!

    Can you do different angle camera on this product

      @TexMexStrada  4 роки тому +1

      Hi Bartek! Yeah, I struggled with the camera perspective on this review, I’m sorry, it was kind of hard to shoot. The link of the product I shared above has pictures at more angles, please let me know if that is good or if you want a specific angle, I’d be more than glad to shoot some pictures and link them below.
      Since everything is black and the lighting in the garage isn’t very good (Corona Shelter-in-place Problems), I totally understand how it is hard to distinguish details in the video, I apologize. I appreciate your questions!

    Looks a great bit of kit. On track I am currently reaching the end of the tyres on the standard pegs, was there a reason you spent out on these or was it just looks?

      Thank you for watching, and thank you for the question!
      It was all about function for me actually. I was never happy with the mid-controls that came from the factory, never really comfortable on the bike on long distances with its stock ergos. On longer solo rides I often found myself putting my heels on the rear pegs, leaning forward, and riding like that for a while. It wasn't exactly safe or pretty, but it was comfortable for my legs, bum, and arms. So I figured out quite early that I wanted to have different bars and different pegs. I ended up going with these pegs because:
      #1: they were plug and play
      #2: the reviews on them were stellar
      #3: the engineering looked simple, functional, and elegant
      #4: they offered lots of adjustment options (and I'm picky about details)
      #5: They offered the most rearward foot peg position on the market (and since I liked riding the rear pegs, I wanted to be able to go as far back as possible)
      #6: The were the most narrow (so closest to the frame) I could find, and I hated the outboard foot position on the stock pegs
      I agonized over the decision, looked at different options, and read/watched everything I could for at least three months. I didn't want to spend that much cash ($550), but each and every time I evaluated options, these came out on top in every category that mattered (except price). So I figured "you get what you pay for" and it turned out to be true. Love these things. In combination with the Motone Jota 2.0 bars they made the bike for me. I hope this helps!
      PS: During my research I also recognized the fact that parts are easily replaceable in case of an off as a positive, but it didn't really factor into my equation as I don't do track days. But, since that is the primary purpose of your V7, that may be an important one of you. The stuff that goes down first (pegs, and lever tips) is made from composite materials, so it doesn't transfer as much impact energy to the expensive bits and is fairly cheap (all things considered) to replace.

      @@TexMexStrada thank you for the in depth reply. I have contemplated rearsets for mine, but so far have not grounded out the standard ones, although have grounded out the sidestand lug. I have rearsets on my Triumph 765 which are great on track, but not so much so on longer road trips as they lift the pegs a bit which is not so comfy

    • @TexMexStrada
      @TexMexStrada  4 роки тому +1

      You are most welcome! And yup, you definitely want to address the immediate limitation (sidestand) first. As to the comfort, as most things on bikes, that is super subjective and varies greatly from rider to rider, for example I actually enjoy the rearward and tucked up footpeg position.
      One thing I likes about the Satos was that you actually have 3 positions where you can mount the peg, and, even though they are just centimetres apart, they do make a significant difference in feel (funny how that works). As I mentioned in the video, I was actually surprised that I preferred the most rearward & up position in the end, my first setup post-install was forward & down. It wasn't bad, a lot better than stock and very comfortable, but it was just missing that final little bit of "one with the bike" feeling. I actually tried the forward & up position after that, which was an improvement, but it wasn't till i switched to the rearward & up setting that the angels stated singing in my head.
      The fact that you can adjust the brake & shift levers almost infinitely then allowed me to dial in the best possible angle for my ankles.
      If you don't want to go that far rearward, the Agostini rearsets may be a good option for you as well. They make the OEM rearsets for the Racer, for reference. Actually, come to think of it, if you can find some good used ones from the Racer (or new ones if the dealership has a deal on them), that may be a good option for you, as those are folding pegs, meaning you get the benefit of a more relaxed foot position without the drawback of a hard grind once they touch down. I don't think they would push your legs too far outboard neither, that little pivot shouldn't make too much of a difference.
      LSL made some rearsets as well, but I'm not sure if they have adjustable pegs as well.
      It is great to have options, I hope this helps further!

      Curiosity of how the V7 rearsets differ from the V7III rearsets got the better of me, and I looked them all up. Funny how thing differ from evolution to evolution, the positions seam quite different. Here are the links in case you want to check them out yourself:

      I am 5'10" and that is a good question. Do you enjoy the tight & sporty seating position? There are 3 positions you can select from, so you can tune the fit, but the V7III is a small bike, so it will be tight. I personally enjoy that kind of leg position, and I find it comfortable, but each person is different. Have you sat on an older ZX-R, GSX-R, or CBR-R literbike? If yes, did you like the leg position? It will be a similar feeling.

    Hi there, I was wondering if you managed to make the stop sensor work, I just installed the Guareschi Corse foot pegs and they don’t seem to have a spot to place the stop switch/sensor

    • @TexMexStrada
      @TexMexStrada  4 роки тому +1

      Thank you for your question! So the kit for the Sato Rearsets came with a replacement sensor that works off of the brake line pressure at the tip of the rear brake master cylinder via a banjo bolt. The wires to the OEM sensor were cut and then connected to the new sensor. You can see it in the video, it sits at the very right hand end of the brake master cylinder, where the brake line is connected. Here is the link to it from Sato’s website. I recommend you reach out to Guareschi and see if they have something similar, or if Sato’s switch works with their setup too. www.satoracing.com/brakelightsw.htm. I hope this helps!

    I have the same bike. Did you get it from AF1? Also for a noob, is it difficult to install?

    • @TexMexStrada
      @TexMexStrada  4 роки тому +1

      Congrats on the V7III, and thank you for the questions!
      I ordered them from GuzziTech actually as he drop-shipped directly from Sato, rather than having an extra stop at the warehouse and I was able to pay via PayPal using some of my Amex points. But AF1 is a good option, I like those guys and have left a lot of my money there over the past 12 months of ownership, or you can buy directly from Sato. The price is the same either way.
      As to the install, the physical assembly is super simple. But you will need to rewire the brake light switch (cut, splice, tape) and bleed the brake line after you install the new banjo bolt. I had that part done by a professional mechanic, took him 15min.
      I am comfortable turning wrenches and installing parts, but I have a policy of letting things that can lead to my untimely death in case of error (in this case brake hydraulics) get worked on by professionals. I think that was an extra $25 well spent.
      I hope this helps!

      TexMexStrada thanks! Yes I actually didn’t buy mine from them but do service it there. Being slightly inexperienced I haven’t done anything except oil changes on mine myself. Bleeding the lines sounds daunting.
      I’ll definitely look into having AF1 install it for me. Mine is stock minus agostini pipes. Going to put a dart screen on it soon. Sitting at 13k miles at the moment so hasn’t been used a lot

      Hi Bartek! Thank you for your question! I made adapting that universal fairing my shelter-in-place project for the Guzzi. I will review it once I can get out riding again and have proper brackets made (it is held on by zip-ties right now).
      I will also do a comparison to the Dart Piranha at that time. I appreciate you following!

      Hi Bartek! Quick update: I am still beta testing the fairing (about 150 miles into my usual 500 mile testing minimum), meaning a proper video review is still a couple weeks out, but in the mean time feel free to follow updates on the project on my Facebook page. Here is the link to the post: facebook.com/texmexstrada/posts/2516819368567195
      PS: I am eager to do a proper video, there has been a lot of interest in the fairing. But I want to make sure to do solid testing before making a UA-cam review in order to be able to give y'all an educated perspective on the product and the modifications I found necessary.
