You could also go with the picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar, Wilde for a classics recommendation really any sort of penny, dreadful will do Frankenstein, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde would be considered penny dreadful because you can get them for a penny at any bookshop or news stand

I just read a book that I think would work for Multi POV hard mode. It is called: Geek Love by Katherine Dunn. A majority of the story takes place in the past but you occasionally jump forward to the future. And while it is mostly told from one POV there are several instances throughout the book where you are reading the observation/research/interview notes of another character (may work, may not). I would say this book is definitely not for everyone, so maybe proceed with caution?
I’d like to recommend some paperbacks from hell like the nest and rats. If you have that book, you will find them in there paperback from hell that is.
