@@allelectricalau You should do an Aussie tutorial video about ghost voltages and how to detect them in our power points. That'd be a good one to watch. Cheers.
Uhhh mate, I have a slightly different method for isolation. You can use your meter in continuity mode on A+E to cause an imbalance in the RCD making it trip; Then you've instantly tested the RCD and isolated in one hit.
Please set your Digital or Analogue Multi Meter on the appropriate Ac voltage range before placing the probes into the slots. If you Probe first and then try to set your meter, you may end up damaging your meter as you wander over inappropriate settings.
I seriously think that this is the only Aussie video about the process of using a DMM to check an outlet. Cheers mate.
Cheers mate was one of my first videos so its rough around the edges but still the information is correct👍

How do you use one of these to test an Earthing mat please
Not Sure ive never had to test one probably its earthing continuity. Testing between the mat and earth on your power point.
You should set your Meter first before switching the power point
Mate power is off. But flash of lights ?
