- Join us on The Farm as we put the first saddle on Gold 66 and do some horse training in the round pen with this beautiful horse. He was a little more spirited than our last first saddle and today we had a bucking horse in the round pen. We sure are glad it was the first saddle not the first mount

I ran away from home when I was 5 years old cuz I wanted a horse my dad got me a Colt about a year old and he handed me the Rope to the halter and he said when you get him broke you and him will always be good friends and you'll have a good life together I work with this baby until he was three before I could ride him and he died at the age of 28 I had many many hours of wonderful times on that horse I bought all my kids horses when they were small and they spent many hours many hours riding their horses and doing things with friends on their horses and some of them still have horses today your family brings back so many memories and all the good times this sold 74-year-old woman has really really enjoyed watching y'all and I love to camaraderie with your family keep up the good work happy New Year and may God bless all of you my prayers are always with your family Grandma Judy from Louisiana
Horse has great color. Shoutout to Blake for doing that work with his finger not fully recovered.
Never did see that Quarter horse jump the fence 😳
Man he makes me feel so Wimpy, I just had 3 pins put into my finger and I didn't work with my horses like he did for over a month due to the pain.
Owch!
Puppies!!🏊🏿😃
Goodness he's pretty.
I have experience (digging) repairing irrigation. Place a large flat rock or a bed of gravel under that cross joint so the dirt above doesn’t compress the joints and cause them to break
Great idea
Great idea
Hey you guys! I expected to see the saddled horse jump a fence, not Blake! Fortunate, he's very athletic!
A very interesting video, with clear explanations for Blake's hard work.
I'm so glad you consider the individiual horde before training!
Thanks!
I love his palomino coat color
Nice colt. Blake should watch for the eye and ear when taking off pressure. When he looks or turns toward you take pressure off by backing up and drawing him in to you. In the vid there were opportunites for this that were missed. No worry you can try again and fix it. 🙂

REMINDS ME OF MY AUNTS HORSE THAT I LEARNED TO RIDE ON. BEAUTIFUL HORSE.
Awesome!!!!
Thanks……Wow 9 pups
Gold 66 is a beautiful 🐎
That's true Arabians mature more slowly, along with a few other breeds. So under saddle is usually at 4, sometimes 5 depending on the horse. The Arabian ranch up the street from me usually starts closer to 5.
Oh I didn't know that. I have few and everyone here started at two. I myself start when the knees are closed.
Good Morning Love to watch the horses
Thank you. Good morning to yoU!
They are so cute!!
so glad real simply living showed this channel and tin barn farm. I get my horse fix, my dog fix from Australia, and carpenter fix all on one channel. who needs regular tv
Awe her puppies are so cute and adorable, they look like golden doodle puppies

Watching Blake train the horses is so interesting...I could watch forever!! Great job Blake!!

Gold 66 is going to be an awesome ride…..
He will someday
Great job Blake and Alan!
He says thanks
FANTASTIC VIDEO, AWE, PUPPIES
It's nice to see nowadays a young man like Blake, hardworking, nice, and respectful. Y'all have done a great job raising that young man for sure. He'll be very successful in life.
Thanks so much we agree! He’s a great kid!
Super young man Blake is. Always there to help with chores that are needed and super with the horses!
He is amazing. We are thankful
With her quick moves, "Gold 66" could be trained as a cutting horse. Beautiful. The puppies are adorable, as ususal.
Yes he is quick
Arabian person here - Most trainers start backing Arabians around 2 or 3 years old with light riding, but no hard riding (like endurance or jumping) until at least 5 (many endurance riding programs in the U.S. do not allow horses under 5 to be on the roster). As a hot-blooded breed, you definitely want to have these horses petted, fiddled with and desensitized starting from the day they're born. Nice palomino!
Colt 66 is beautiful. Is so good that your teaching your kids.
Love your videos you guys are the number one of the people that I like to watch
Hey Thanks Daniel! We really appreciate it! Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Where are ya from?
@@TheFarmonRoute66 we are from Arizona
Wheeeee ! Lotta spirit there 😂👍
Excellent video as usual ☺️🙌😍🥰🤩❤️‼️
Thanks Debby!!!
@@TheFarmonRoute66 Happiness is what you all are thank you 🙌☺️❤️
Awe very precious babies. Great job with rt. 66. Love yahs
Thank you! You too!
What a beautiful horse how pretty little puppies
Light ground working & saddling great at 2...but you have to remember no matter the breed , their joints and growth plates aren't mature yet...I personally don't weight a horse regularly (2/3×s per wk on for 5 and off) until middle 4th yr... but that IS just my preference...
I have been a proud companion to both quarter horse's, a mustang mare and a Egyptian Arabian..... both the Arabian and mustang were great experiences for teaching a person patients ,respect, compremise, compromise, understanding....
Love each one very much
Wow beautiful 🤩
Blake is a natural horseman, kind but firm. Dad should be real proud of the boy
I think Blake is so good with horses. He has this special gental way. His slow touch seems important it seems like it is comforting to the horse so it calms down. He did so well with the saddle. Lol I'm glad you jumped on the fence. But he calmed down. He did so good after a while no bucking.
Blake is doing a great job with him👍
I love this guy’s confirmation! My favorite quarter horse type and his color is gorgeous!
Your son is alot like you Mr. Route 66 with his cadence of speech and mannerisms.
Love watching you’ll with the horses, so loving and patient 🙏❤️
Thank you
So beautiful.
Love how he holds his tail up high
Glad I waited for the end. Thought it was highly unusual only one puppy. Your wife was correct, let her out and she will bring the others to you in due time. How exciting this is two years ago now but still so exciting.
Blake is a good son and animal/ horse trainer.
Great video. I love the way you (break) train your horses. Very gentle. Something new learned everyday.
Thx so much
Blake does an excellent job with the horses. He is such a nice, well mannered, guy. Y’all have done an excellent job raising him. He is always smiling and ready to lend a hand whenever needed. I applaud you guys for raising such a fine young man.
thank you we feel blessed
Gold 66 is so funny bucking with the saddle on him and sometimes they buck and sometimes they do not buck
What a great job.
Thx!!!
That was a good lesson
I'm watching this 4 weeks later, my dog heard those puppies and walked around looking for them. Thank for showing everything. I really enjoy watching you guys.
Gorgeous palomino colt. Good conformation
Awww, da puppies! Yay! A little too big for me, alas, but I'm sure you won't have any trouble finding takers! Gold 66 looks like he's well on his way to becoming a gentleman. :)
He's a stunning Palomino. Love those dapples 🙂
He is a beauty
🤗❤👍awe so cute
Nice colt quick learner realty nice job guys don’t over do it will make a nice using horse have a great day
Beautiful mother dog with her 9 puppies, she is a good carrying momma nursing her puppies
That was fun to watch thank you love the puppies too
Awesome video pony gold 66 around a few times with raw hide he will learn faster with that saddle on and respect who is leading him a tad more ...
Blake is so good working the horses
Outstanding Video! Lots of hard work was displayed in 3 different ways, the water pipes, working a quarter horse, and helping their dog deliver 9 healthy pups throughout a night!! The way Blake can handle the pain of having that pin still in his finger, just amazes me!! I had four pins in my left index finger. Four pins/1pin no difference when pain is involved, and I for sure did not do any physical duties like Blake is doing! Proud of you Blake! But, Alan is right, you gotta be careful so you don't bend it and then have to go under to remove it. Love all your videos !! Keep them coming! Love this family! 🤗❤️❤️🙏🏼
Thank you. He gets pen out on Friday
@@TheFarmonRoute66 Thanks for letting me know!! I’ll be thinking about him all day on Friday, sending positive waves! Don’t be nervous, you will be sooo happy to get it out. I don’t know how your finger will feel afterwards, because your Dr made it functional. Mayo hospital did mine to save the finger from being cut off. Mine doesn’t bend at all. Not noticeable at all, lots of good friends didn’t even know it was that way after years of knowing them. Blake, you have shown to 1,000’s of people you can do it! I can’t imagine how many people will take this upon decisions they have to make on saving a finger! You deserve a Gold medal in my book!!!! Have a Happy Week you all!!!! 🤗❤️🙏
That colt is flashy can't wait to see him in 6 months definitely rebreed your stud to that mare again😍
Great job for a Guy with 9 fingers LoL!
Gold did very well 😊.
JO JO IN VT 💕😄
❤️❤️❤️
Great job with Gold 66.
I started my quarter horse when she was 2. Just like you said, slow and easy. No job just getting ready for her future
Beautiful pony! I love watching Blake working him and your description of what is going on in round pen.
Blake is doing such a fine job with this colt as he does with all the horses. The puppies are so cute, there has to be something wrong with someone if they are not a little giddy about a litter of pups, congratulations on the pups!
That never gets old.
Doing a good job. With gold 66.
That golden boy is a beautiful horse! It's gratifying to see that you're working on making him golden through and through, not just externally 😊🌟
I really like how Blake is training this horse, gentle, yet firm when needed. Fantastic!
Thx
Well done gentleman
I love watching your videos! 🙏🙂👍
Glad you like them!
That was a nice training session. I love the dappling on him.
Looks like you're raising a bronco. LOL. Such a beautiful horse. Blake is amazing with them.
Knew someone with a mare in the back yard which was bred every couple of years; those colts were handled as soon and as much as mom would allow. At 3-4 months, they would throw a horse blanket on mom, a light weight house blanket on baby. From there it was a slow progression over the course of 2 years. I knew the owner and he said he decided he was too old at the tender age of teen hood to get on top of a bucking horse and had been working this way ever since. I was there when baby was about 6 months to be around and desensitize to strangers being around a couple of times. - And yes, as houses were being built in the area, the mare's space had reduced to about an acre, including house, back yard.
I start working my babies when they're a day old. It's called "imprinting" & it works amazingly well. I also put stuff on their backs when they're just a few months old...blankets, saddle pads & the like. By the time the saddle comes along, they're quite well sacked out...
I think you guys are Awesome
Wow I loved this video. What’s not to like a beautiful horse learning, the ropes lol, and puppies. Good stuff. ✌️🌻🌻
Beautiful colt. Great job on his first saddle.
That 2 yr old rocks he’s an even tempered pleasure to work with.
Fine job dude.
Good job teacher.
Blake was sure scrambling up that fence LOL
Ya he was 🤣
Beautiful horse. The pups are adorable❤❤
That horse looks like it's going to be trained well very soon🤗💗
Loved it.
Sure you got it here you're way cool yeehaw!
Thanks for your commentary. Always good to explain horse's mind set and reasoning for why you react and respond the way you do. Information and content helps the horse community. And shout out to Blake.
I love that horse! He's a fast learner, not too spooky, and seems to want to bond. Wish I could have him💖
Loved watching you guys with the palamino,, he's a lovely young young colt, and. he seems to have a nice nature , and then to top it off the cute little pups were born, fab episode
That was great! Blake does good work!
I love watching y’all work horses!
Thanks so much
Good Job 👍 Gold 66 is going to be an Awesome Horse!! Congratulations on the new puppies!! God Bless and have a Wonderful Week!! 😀⚘❤
beautiful horse.
I am really enjoying going back and watching some of your older videos. Blake did a great job training and working with young 66 and I also watch Amry train and work horses. You have taught them well.
Beautiful horse!
Totally impressed by you and your son! I’ve watched other videos of horse training and yours is absolutely the best. You display love, understanding and respect for the animals. All of them. Thank you
This is so interesting to watch.
