Lalique Ombré Noire and Hommage l’homme and Encre Noire and Encre Noire extreme are very nice plus their women’s fragrances are too thanks for highlighting them
For me, Encre Noire a L'Extreme is the best, second being White in Black and third being one you haven't mentioned (it's marketed towards women) called Perles - that one I love to wear in neutral weather (fall and spring) because I find it very calming and elegant at the same time
Hommage A l'homme is so underrated! One of the best designer violet leaf prominent fragrances around. Also, Encre Noire Sport reminds me of Oud Minerale but made way better and more wearable with cypress. Such a cool fragrance.

Although I really like most men's fragrances from Lalique (and I don't yet have a couple), Ombre Noire is my favorite... by a wide margin. This house is very obviously intentional about offering high-quality, value-priced fragrances. They deserve every accolade.
How do Lalique make such complex original fragrances for the money. My personal favourite is Encre Noire Sport. I have all the Encre Noires. The Sport version is so wearable day to day. Without a doubt the best value fragrance in my collection. Fresh grapefruit with soapy grassy vetiver. The Extreme is more of an evening dressed up vetiver. The OG is perfect for a rainy day.

I've got samples of a lot of these. For some reason I get them as gifts with a lot of my online purchases, even though a lot of the time they call (and can therefore tell I'm a woman) to confirm the order😅
The value in the grey market is still unbeatable. Boucheron comes close too, but their range is very limited. Only tried Glorious Indigo from the LCP Collection and it had nothing to do with the blue bottle colour. Absolutely a javanol fragrance. But I feel like the prices are still low on their standard range because they don't get much talk on social media? Seems to drive demand so it's a double edged sword. 🤫
Back in 2012-2013 I used A LOT of bottles of Encre Noir... 😂 (it was around 20 euros so... spray everything and all day)... took me years to REALISE HOW STRONG ACTUALLY WAS 😂 ... These days Encre Noir...didn't age well 😢
Can I ask your opinion? I commented on Hommage.... There's no tobacco listed in the notes. So why does Hommage simply scream "Tobacco!" to me? Can violet come across anything like tobacco? I'm getting crisp, fresh, not-burning cigarettes right out of the pack, a smell I always loved in childhood when the grown-ups around me were smoking.
Interesting ranking. I'd place the original Encre Noire in a tie at the very top with the A L'Extreme. But only because I have not yet smelled Ombre Noire :) I do have the Mauboussin though, very nice, but not close to beating the Encre Noire's for me. The Equus smells a bit similar to V&R Spicebomb, though not as projecting or long lasting. I'd place that above the Lion one. Must still get Encre Indigo.

I love Ombre Noire though some say the longevity is poor. I give it like 10 sprays and I´m good to go with easily 10-12 hours. It´s a boozy bomb!

Lalique right now are harder to find online than most discontinued fragrances. Something really broke in their distribution chain.

Encre Noire is the exact opposite of a linear fragrance. It is so good that it should be prohibited to buy.
