Last 25 years i have been working in various water reclamation plants in the middle east as a Chemist cum consultant. I am a PhD holder too. Nowadays drying bed systems are not using in this type of plants, instead of that, Solid process & Thermal Drier Units are treating the various types of sludge & finally the moisture content will be in between 1& 2 percentage, that means 99% dry mattered sludge will be the final product. Thermally dried granules are using mainly for making organic compost or very occasionally for land filling. Lot of job opportunities are available in such types of WRPs. I have written a handbook for Chemical Engineering students, especially those who are doing their final year projects in various WRPs or STPs.
Dear Dr Manoj Thomas thank for your reaction on sludge treatment in Solid Process and Thermal driying proscess, but i have a dupt on energy consuption. Please would your share me your book (gonseamalo8@gmail.com)
This is good video. As per pollution control board we have process the sludge. I have one question. We process the sludge. We use energy like as wood, diesel or electricity etc., we use electricity it means we make pollution of CO2. Why should we control the pollution and make more pollution?
