The Kalgoorlie Super-Pit

- In this video, we head back to 30th March 2014, taking a brief look at a train trip on the Prospector Railcar on a journey to Kalgoorlie, a distance of 650km from Perth, for an overnight stay in the Palace Hotel, before driving out to the public viewing lookout of the "Super-Pit" open cut gold mine, then returning to Kalgoorlie township to join a tour bus for an inside look at the mine operations. (My video camera was a first generation HD version; it had really good definition, but lacked somewhat in stability at higher zoom levels: You will notice some picture shaking in the shots taken at the higher zoom settings.) The music was once again kindly provided by Purple Planet Music. Please visit them at https:/www.purple-planet.com.

I loved your video. One of the best I've seen about the Super pit. Thank you
Great video. Thanks for the upload. I want to book a tour now
Ore goes into the fimiston processing plant. Gidgie was/is used for roasting Sulphides. Good video.
Très belle ville
good show.
Great video Terry. Just wondering which model Sony Handycam you used in this video?
It is a Sony HDR-XR500. It has a 120GB HDD built in. A great camera still today. The built in viewfinder has bit the dust unfortunately. I now use a FDR-XR53, along with a DJI Pocket 2 for today's filming, with the XR500 as a back up.
Dor starters.
When you do tours like this how about giving the cost times minimum numbers ect?
Also i woant to hear whats being said not the music
Just saying
Points taken. Thanks.
Why has it taken 9 tears to upload this video?
So sorry, never thought of it. It was only when I was going through my home vids I thought it would adapt well to UA-cam. I am learning, thanks to feedback from those who watch. Cheers.
@@terrymercer2379 I was wondering why they still had all the 793C trucks I was driving in 2007-2008!
@bonzoAU why did it take you this long to mention something? This man does train trips, he would never thing to add this type of content for HIS viewers?
My apologies, this man looks at the Tarim rides and what the/stops have to offer. This stop, being Kalgoorlie, is controversial. Shouldn’t have to report on it until he is comfortable, if be wishes.
It's a 6 hour train journey not 8.
Thanks. I had a look at the web site, which says "Less than 7 hours." You are correct. Well done.
@@terrymercer2379 it's alright mate
@@terrymercer2379 Thanks you!
