Compared to the rest of the DMVs counties, when it comes to properly utilizing land around metro stations, PG is the absolute worst. Prince George's Plaza Mall could've been demolished and re-modeled /updated years ago, especially since PG Plaza/Hyattsville Crossing station was already there to begin with. It's pretty sad how badly PG fails to use the stations for the 3 (4 technically) lines that cross over into it for economic development
1. The mall is quite busy at all times of day with few vacancies: there really isnt a reason for replacing it 2. UTC has absolutely exploded with development since the station opened: two townhouse developments + 2 infill apartment complexes will be completed between 2020-2025 The neighborhood south of the station really does need to be upzoned though
@@sammymarrco47 Ah ok thank you. I like to visit DC sometimes and I enjoy taking the metro for rides but I know a lot of people say to stay away from the green line.

there are some plans in PGC but we'll see if they happen.

That subway route probably feels like a Staten Island SIR vibe ime bc i only rode the Staten Island Railway 1 time Lmao
I may go to NYC this summer and I'd wanna take the SIR.
sweet!
Thanks!
green line should goto waldorf
the cost benefit analysis wouldn't stack up.
Is the area around this station safe?
its def not the best, but there are definitely worse areas too.
