      Not Physically where you have to interact with people.

    • @PhonesHQ
      @PhonesHQ 3 роки тому +7

      @@eric6rock That’s kinda dumb. I’d say that pro gamer’s do have to interact with people a lot. If you’re on an esports team you have to communicate a lot with your teammates to devise strategies. if you aren’t good at communicating effectively and respectfully, you won’t last long, just like most other professions. Also if you’re in the gamer/entertainer market (like a General Sam or PBG or Game Grumps style channel) you still have to communicate with your agent and your sponsors to create revenue opportunities. A lot of creators also run successful merch lines, which requires communicating with all sorts of people to both manufacture and ship the merchandise.

    • @PhonesHQ
      @PhonesHQ 3 роки тому +13

      @@eric6rock if by “physically” you mean that gaming doesn’t require any hard manual labor, I’d agree with you, but there’s literally hundreds of thousands if not millions of jobs that don’t require hard labor.

    • @duvide659
      @duvide659 2 роки тому +3

      They don't fake interest. If by fake interest you mean doing work regardless of what mood you're in, then welcome to the adult world. Assuming our labor is meant to bring us "fun" and "meaning" is the pinnacle of childish thinking in the modern world. WE bring "fun" and "meaning" to labor - not the other way around. It's true that no matter what your vocation is, sometimes you're going to not be "in the mood", but again it's an infantile psychological position to think that life is supposed to be filled with things that you're in the mood for. A real individual takes care of their life regardless of what mood their in. A real streamer, in this case, doesn't fake interest - they express their mood, no matter what it is, while they work: If they're angry, they play angry, if they're sad, they play sad, if they're happy, they play happy. Copping out of work because of moods is what defines emotional infancy. Being able to be an effective individual, whether that means being able to work, play, or rest, regardless of mood, is what makes an individual a true individual. Life is hard, and it always has been and always will be. It's not about finding work that's fun or entertaining, it's about finding work that YOU can find value in regardless of what mood you're in. It's about, again, being able to function (work, play, rest) regardless of mood. Mastering yourself necessitates becoming familiar with the tendency that moods have to pull you away from the world. We are allowed to be in moods - do not be afraid of your mood - but we must fight to not be pulled too far away from the world, away from our work, play, rest, away from our relationships, etc. Easier said than done. Thoughtful comment, Minus.

(Unless it's a stream ofcourse.) I know this was a joke, but some people actually believe this, and actually think this, When in reality, it's a lot more mental work than you think and most people are just not cut out or just aren't smart enough to learn all of the things needed to make quality content on their own on a relatively professional level. And that's not an insult it's just true. That said, Funny ass video, had me laughing all the way through.

    This is surprisingly relatable to me. Not because I have been in any way successful on UA-cam or Twitch, but because I worked the cash register at Wendy's for so long I brainwashed the customer service speak into my brain and it didn't go away until months after I left

    Damn that shit is hard, waking up and making your own schedule that you can change on the fly while also being able to make 80k year without any business costs, originality, or higher learning. I could never. Considering hes sitting in cold shit he deserves a pay raise.
