Sending you TWO classic recipes! One from my grandmother and another from my great grandmother! Delicious!! As far as Lee’s disheveled state, I like a previous prediction you made about the men of HV kicking up the dust with a baseball game. Would be so fun!
I like that idea too and hope it happens even if it’s not connected with this scene. I think it would be so much fun having the ladies and the children watch and even maybe participate. I can see Fiona out there and possibly Faith.
Recipe from Methodist Cookbook 1910-1920 in Columbia, SC - Boston Brown Bread - 2 cups Graham flour - 1 cup wheat flour - 1/2 cup New Orleans Molasses - 1/2 cup sugar - 2 teaspoons baking powder - 1 teaspoon soda - 2 cups sweet milk - Make plain or add 1 cup raisins cut in 2 and floured: 1 cup nuts floured may also be used. Bake in 2 coffee cans well greased for 1 1/4 hours. I have seen them make a similar recipe one of the Hallmark Christmas Movies.
May be??? Or the balloon? I saw in the promo Rosie I. The same outfit by the balloon in front of the school. Of course she would be there for the VV but perhaps Lee is too.
I share your love for Lee and Rosemary, too. They are so much fun and yet can bring us to tears all in the span of one episode. I’m very curious what is going on with Lee being all messed up and does it have anything to do with Lucas’ black eye? However, since you asked us to speculate, I’m going with he was working on his car on the ground or something at the saw mill. Rosemary didn’t seem upset about it like Elizabeth. I think if it was a baseball game, Lucas would have told her that. Can’t wait to find out. I also share your love of cooking! Church cookbooks are the best and I learned how to cook from many recipes found in those or from ladies in the church. I make these cookies at least once a week. My family and friends love them and know I will always have some in the fridge when they come over. They are easy and no bake. Thank you for all you do for us! No Bake Chocolate/Peanut Butter/ Oatmeal cookies 2 cups sugar 4 Tablespoons cocoa 1 stick butter 1/2 cup milk Combine above ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a rolling boil. Boil for one minute and remove from heat. Add the following: 1 cup peanut butter 1 tablespoon vanilla Stir until melted. Add 3 cups rolled oats until blended. Drop cookies (I use a large metal serving spoon) on parchment paper and put in refrigerator to chill. Enjoy!
Good job Roxanne! Love Rosemary and Lee, and they have amazing chemistry. Also, I'll be interested in your reaction to the season 9 trailer that was released today. They disclose quite a bit for a 30 second promo.
I believe they have some sort of a town celebration (Founder’s Day?, mayoral election celebration?) that includes a carnival (balloon) and other events (Ned and Florence serving ice cream in front of their new ice cream shop), fireworks, etc. I think one of those events is a baseball game. I think Lee got dirty either practicing or playing in it. I think that’s how Lucas gets his black eye… perhaps practicing and he lost the ball in the sun.
Roxanne, your first request answer: perhaps Lee had to do some car maintenance and got all greasy in the process. (Incidentally, I thought I read the bulletin that said Church Crook-book, [it didn't have the hyphen, but the system won't take the word I read] did I read it wrong? the bulletin did mention a dough being stolen? More intrigue. Also you read the article talking about roots, it appears there is a flourish sign not an S. Just thinking. The second request is my yellow squash casserole. You take 5 or 6 small yellow squash, 2 stalks of celery, 2 or 3 large carrots, 1 small to medium onion (I prefer the sweet variety). Get 1 cube of beef bullion and bring 2 or 3 cups of water to a boil. Large chop all the vegetables and place in the boiling bullion for about 5 minutes. Take 1 can of cream of celery and 1 can of cream of mushroom, mix together. Take one bag of Pepperridge Farm Stuffing mix (herb or natural) and place a layer of stuffing on bottom of baking or pyrex dish. Mix the vegetables with beef bullion and 2 soups mixing (make a vegetable soup mixture) Start layering vegetable mixture on stuffing, take cheddar cheese and sprinkle on top, pour melted butter and keep building layers until you fill baking dish with the cheddar cheese and melted butter on top. I like to say the squash for vitamins, the onion for flavor, the celery for crunch and the carrots for a color pop! Bake at 350 degrees approximately 30 minutes or until you see the casserole brown and bubbly. It's delicious. Even if you don't make a film about it, try it yourself. You'll be glad you did! Yes, Rosemary and Lee are very special!
Roxanne, I think Lee's car broke down and he tried his best to fix it but ultimately he had to call Joseph! Rosemary was comforting Lee to show him that she was still proud of him even though he couldn't fix the car. :)
Fantastic job as always Roxanne! I like the idea of a baseball game for Lee's messy look and Lucas' black eye! I so look forward to your updates!
Thanks. A new video will up tonight
Love Rosemary & Lee!!! They are so special...
Yes, they are realistic, not perfect but perfect for each other.
hmmm...maybe the fire was in Lee's office or the petroleum office.
So many possibilities.

Very nice!
Thank you Roxanne
Thank you!
You are a delight!! Love your exuberance.
Kind words but i do look a bit crazed!
I wonder if Lee’s disheveled state is somehow related to Lucas’s black eye.

I saw it and I was emotional. 😂

All fun ideas.

Aww she would do that too. Thanks for sharing.
Why does it look like it says Church Crookbook??
Thank you! I was just going to point that out myself. Our charming host here somehow missed it.
I'm also obsessed.
It does say that. I’m wondering if it’s a deliberate misprint just for laughs or is the story about someone stealing a cookbook.
@@freefoodchef7939 OOOO I didn't miss it! It goes with the Stolen Dough! So cook up some recipes and let's make a fun "Church Crookbook" bahahah
@@joycegaskill3143 And that is okay!
Maybe his car broke down? Already in your group!!
Maybe.
It looks like burrs on the back of his shirt
Yes, I thought this today when I saw it up on my tv.
