DO NOT BUY any fragrances from EBAY despite how "reputable" or "good rating" the seller has. They will sneak in fake bottles here and there.

I got ripped off by buying Chanel from eBay. Wish I would have watched this before I dealt with them. I bought a sealed, boxed Chanel 3.4 oz....seller claimed it was authentic. It was not even close. The scent lasted about 15 minutes; at most. Never, ever buy perfume from anyone other than the authorized dealer. If it's too good to be true; it probably is. I'll gladly pay top dollar not to have antifreeze or urine on my skin. Thanks for making this video!

I just received my bottle of original Chance by Chanel and it's n old bottle and it's got blemishes on the metal and a couple of chips in the glass so you can look at it and tell it's old... I started looking for numbers on the glass I could not find one until finally in the right light just in the same spot you have shown on your bottle there was a faint etching of a weird little number Apparently that is the number that should have matched the box it originally came in I was so glad when I saw that plus the metal around the nozzle sprayer on top is not there definitely is a thick band of metal around this bottle although it's an old bottle and it's been beat up a little bit I'm quite confident according to your video that it is indeed authentic Chanel Chance and yes it smells beautiful... Thanks for a lot of questions I had about this bottle.... it was a cheap buy but I was hoping I would still wind up with the authentic Chanel perfume and apparently I have...
Very informative video on how to spot fake perfumes. I've neer purchased any bottles of fragrance on ebay before, only sample vials.

wow wow I mean wow. I just recently brought the REAL Chance from Macy's store, the metal label under the bottle says "Made in France", they said it's a limit edition made from France. I paid over a hundred bucks. Anyways I love the smell! thanks for sharing!

You have your boxes backwards. I bought authentic and my box is like the one you have labelled as fake.... but inside my product matches all qualities of your authentic one
Barcode is on bottom lid of box for authenticity. Dillard's has barcode on back of box as well.. is that their store barcode?🤔🤔

Month ago my husband bought it for me. My like it i was about order it ebay. Not anymore I'd rather go to Macys or jcpenney
I got mine from airport shop so I assume it to be authentic. It doesn't look exactly like either one in your video, but has mixed characteristics of the two.
If you bought it with credit card, call the credit card company and dispute the charge. I have done it before, if the seller disagrees to return the money for fake.
This is why you're always best buying from a reputable retailer.
My bottle's serial number is 4501 :)
and its serial number is at the lower part of the bottle, btw its a 1.7 oz
I just got a high quality fake today , was pulled in by the £45 plus post , the colour of Chanel Chance Edp fake was close but in light it looked too bright. The smell was close but flatter , like a few notes were missing . The silver around the round glass was slightly thinner and moved a bit. The writing on base was copied perfectly ! The glass was more hollow sounding wen tapped with your nail but all in all it was best fake I’ve come across so please be careful everyone. Oh yeah even batch code was Ingraved low down on back.

I received this as a gift for Christmas I have bought this perfume for years from department stores I knew straight away this was a fake from ebay the smell didn't last it didn't smell right. It had many faults on the bottle but if you hadn't bought this perfume before it would of been hard to stop

My husband ordered me the counterfeit for christmas. Not his fault. Poor guy got had. I noticed because after i sprayed i smelled like nothing.
I just bought a bottle from EBay and noticed that it doesn't smell like the bottle I bought from Belk. Plus some of the other discrepancies I saw in the video. Im going to complain to the seller. Does anyone know what rights through Ebay I have to request my money back
You can return any item for a refund if you think it may be fake or if just not happy with it , eBay are very good like that.
People should not buy anything from eBay period. For fragrance I only buy from authorized store yes more expensive but worth it

Sorry this isn't accurate. I bought Eau Tendre from a reputable shop today (put off of ebay by fake videos) & the bar codes are on the base of the box and the back of box at the bottom. Unless The Fragrance Shop are selling fakes.....

Dead giveaway: the fragrance smells cheap and gives you a headache. Cheap perfumes always gives me a headache. Recently got scammed on eBay. Never again. I will buy from department stores from now on. it's worth the price to buy quality fragrances. Cheap counterfeit Chanel No 5 just smells like cheap counterfeit Chanel No 5. Yuck!!

I have chance edt and chance eau tendre, both bought from Macy's, they're both 100% authentic. One says made in USA the other says France, so just because it says made in the USA doesn't make it counterfeit. That bottle looks completely authentic. The knock off is easily detectable as a fake.
