The internet and social media now give all of us the opportunity to expand that influence on a global scale. Why do some people achieve massive online influence and others don't? What would you do if you had that power?
Franc Carreras spent his career developing massive online audiences for artists like Whitney Houston, Maroon 5 or Leona Lewis in America, for brands like Revlon, Pepsi or Colgate in Europe and for himself on Twitter and Instagram. In this talk he will reveal the single most overlooked element of successful and scalable online influence.

I think this talk deserves more views! Franc Carreras does brilliant job of showing why online influencers do what they do. He has a great structure, opening and closing with the example how to surf, using it to underline his message. He is thanks his supporters, he praises, and he is generous with information. I also observe that he is open about the source of his ideas. This is a very elegant and effective talk, thank you!

Brilliant and honest talk which is refreshing but if its too late to get on the wave for Facebook and twitter where is the next power house? Instagram has been pumping along for awhile with big influencers and whats left does not appear to compete with those power houses.
stephen connell that IS the million dollar question! My bet has been podcasting and you could say TikTok or Twitch could see significant growth in the coming years. In any case it’s worth keeping an eye out for “the next wave” 😉
I think this is the only flaw in the logic. Amazing talk but is there no hope for a new FB group to catch fire with the right, topical exchange of ideas following the formula of nurturing with gratitude, generosity etc?

You never mentioned the motive for starting an online community or influence campaign. If it isn't about you then the knowledge getting out there should be more of payment than the money you receive from views.

this advice is useless. he pretty much says you need to get lucky with “wave” and “timing”. UA-cam channels are still growing today in saturated niches
Thanks for sharing your view, Geovani, but I believe getting timing right is not just about luck. As a good surfer you need to watch incoming waves.
I love how polite Franc is. What am not fond of is thanking and praising people as a "strategy" I feel like that should be organic to you as a person other wise your just a using and manipulateing people. If praise is Organic and sincere to you. Of course it's basic courtesy so well. But it shouldn't be abused.
