sonicfox doesn't play street fighter bro. punks had 2 weeks to learn gill and 3+ years of playing the damn game, sonicfox has had 2 weeks to learn gill and 2 months of gametime overall cuz he stopped playing right after it came out

the inputs of street fighter 5 are literally the same as any other street fighter, the only difference is they give you 3 frames to link attacks instead of 1 ...

I’m coming from mk11 to this game. I’ve never played and probably never will but I love watching gameplay. What I don’t understand is how they open each other up. If someone could explain some mechanics to me that’d be awesome

@@RJ-rp8yd well to be fair, a lot of people held that opinion a few years ago. But the game has improved significantly and is now my current favourite active fighting game.
Fire causes damage over time for some seconds, the ice makes your stun bar (the little bar below your hp) to freeze, preventing it to recover for some seconds, making you vulnerable to get stunned
Cryokinesis also has slower startup (and travels slower) than the Pyrokinesis. Alternating hitting the opponent with them can also trigger his Retribution ability which lets you keep players suspended in high damage output juggles. Which is unique to him atm.
@@SPACECOWBOY705 Both were dropping combos like crazy in the beginning. But that's Gill, both were thinking of Retribution links and at times had difficulty keeping up.

At 2:13 he used his left arm, the ice element, if the animation was mirrored on the other side, he would use his right arm, the fire element, and it wouldn't activate Retribution. Capcom made him turn his back to make the elements consistent on both sides, that move/button will always be ice.
But is much easier to use. He is a qc character so with the kit he has, he is dangerous. Back in the sf3 days many slower characters were able to keep up by parrying so seeing that gill has it here in full force makes me curious how well people are gonna be using him.
