Yeah from this match up, he was giving Gill the business at first. There are about 10 characters that give Gill fits. Fang, Chu-Li, Dhalsim, Cody, Ibuki, Abigail, Colin, Karin, and Vega. Seth is unknown of course but I see him being a problem (based on the trailer). Just a pure mix up machine!
@@djaftermath4313 Eventhubs says otherwise about the matchups. Not saying you're wrong or anything, but why do you think those characters you mentioned are hard matchups for gill? I'm maining gill myself and I'd like to know more about my matchups overall. I have 2 irl friends that play as well and they main Ibuki and Sakura. Eventhubs says Sakura is favorable for me and Ibuki is "mostly even". Vega is supposed to be the best matchup according to eventhubs.
@@Guy-Usf4 I was playing with Gill until I had to have hand surgery recently, I do keep an eye out still though. I've played/watched several matches, looked at some frame data just noticed these characters are a problem (depending on who's behind the controller of course). Rush down and mix up characters are tough due to the block strings, Gill's height, and crush counters. Gill has an issue with most of the ladies on here, perhaps there are too quick? Gill has decent recovery on most moves but is left very vulnerable on a whiffed parry or super attempt. I forget to add Alex to the list. He is probably the only one so far that I've seen that consistently beats the breaks off Gill. Which VS do you use 1 or 2? I would get good with both, you'll need them!!! I think he has the potential to be A tier to barely top tier. Once Gill gets going though, he's pretty damn awesome!
@@djaftermath4313 I've been using VS2 and V-trigger 2. I'm slowly getting the hang of things. Not using my ice trap optimally yet. Got one sweet reset but that costs 2 bars. Just need to play more to get his combos and normals down. He's awesome and a lot of fun so not planning to switch characters just because he's a little complex to learn :) I know I'll get there eventually. And thanks for the tips. You can really feel that Gill is a big character. I sometimes get hit while just standing by Sakuras Tengyo hadouken even though it shoots upwards. His wakeup options aren't great. For some reason, it feels a lot like playing Gouken in SFIV. He had a parry (sort of) and bad (risky) wakeup options. Slow moving but nice fireballs and huge damage potential once he gets an opening!
@@Guy-Usf4 It's almost like playing a character from God of War 3 or something Greek god-like. That said, the ice trap set ups take time and what to do when they block it. I like to place it down right in front often after a knock down (not in the corner, to throw them off). Once you master the parry, retribution mechanic, and other setups, you'll be tough. Just remember, the ice causes more stun and the fire cause more damage. Just know your angle of attack during your match-ups. With high health characters, I like to use ice for more stun. Lot of combo potential(retribution extensions), when they freeze in place from the full stun meter. FYI Zangief give Gill MAJOR problems too as a grappler. Just warning you!!!
This reminds me again of how much i hate playin against Fang. Seems like he can do whateva he wants & i am stuck, blockin forever. Every move +10 on block seemingly. I wish he had 500 health xDD
I will never get tired of listening to Gill's theme... it's just too good!
Same! ;)
You must be in harmony
By faar best trailer i have seen in my life &
Nemo is going to get so good with that character...
Wow that Fang was god like.

mah boy Bison looking like a brazilian dictator.
Word he reminded me of Che Guevara.
Two bosses going at it. Love it! SF2 vs SF3 lol
Funny how Nemo had to figure out Fang, then started opening up a can on him😂😂
Agreed. He's shaping up Gill to be tournament ready. Needs alil more seasoning first.
I enjoyed that gill VS fang match. Really good
Great fights full of quality combos. Doesn't get much better than that.
THAT 1ST ROUND IS ONE OF THE MANY REASONS I LOVE NEMO

Very insolent Fang.
Can anyone tell me why Fang's parry isn't exactly like Gill's? With a straight face and no fingers crossed behind your back? XD
Daigo got demolished
Nemo has gills
No soundtrack List?
Kage got washed
Best themes imo is akuma and gills
Demon harmony?
