Hi Nigel, it's great to see you progressing this one after a little break. I received this and the Airfix K/2 Ambulance for Christmas (hints after watching the previous videos on those). There's so many useful tips and tricks in your videos for new and inexperienced modellers so I'm sure I can make something passable. What always amazes me is how little glue you use - it feels alien as before watching and last making a model 35 years ago with the old squeezy tubes that got everywhere as soon as you opened the cap - I'd have been tempted to soak the life out of every surface "Just to make sure"🤭
Good to see you back working on one of the projects that bought me to your site in the first place Nigel. I'd RELLY like to see more of this from you. Those BIG and VERY EXPENSIVE models are great but it's an extremely limited number of people who can afford those models and therefore loose interest. Please concentrate on what an "average" modeller can afford. I'd really like to see you building the new Airfix releases as they become available and please PLEASE put an end to the unfinished projects before you begin any others. We want to build along with you. Not have to shelve everything until you decide to get them out again if you ever do. You're a fantastic modeller and have so much to offer us mere mortals but boy is it frustrating when you get side-lined by yet another bright light.
I think what I would do, should this kit come to my workspace, is fill the area in the engine nacelle behind where the pin for the propeller would go with some plastic card. While this might take some extra effort to ensure that the pin can turn freely and still have it protrude enough for the prop to attach later and not have the pin fall out while dealing with seams and gaps.
Looking good Nige! I hope this is giving your mojo a boost enough to start back on the Border Lanc, or have we seen the last of it? That's one model I'd love to see you finish as it was looking amazing. 🙂
Hiya Nige I'm building this with you what else could I use as I have no sprue glue it's the only thing I havnt got lol and thanks for carrying on with this build learning loads watching you great video
Hi Nigel, a quick question off topic. I'm going to try Tamiya LP paints for a change, I know I use a different type of thinner but do I thin these paints 50/50 as I do the usual acrylic paints ? Cheers fella 👍
I see you also have those red printed fake F - clamps from Sweden,i found the original ones (blue) in Japan, much much better!! ua-cam.com/video/er1PUynZL2I/v-deo.htmlsi=6AgQqFaCy4LIEAUC

You could use CA but avoid accelerator as it generates heat.
Cheers Nige 👍👍👍👍

No, LP is thinned depending on which colour you use.
@ ok mate cheers
If only I could inject all your knowledge like Neo does in the Matrix… “I know Kung Fu!” 😂
Great video mate but at times your working outside your camera scope
On a different topic, I just finished the Revell 1/144 Type 21 uboat as a mojo builder… what a mistake…
Rewatching The Dam Busters, forgot about his dog’s name… ouch…

Not much help when the website that you got them from doesn't work
