Dennis was an intelligent interview, always gave thoughtful honest answers. It’s just unexplainable how he self destructed in such a short time from 1977 to 1983.
I knew him very well from 1977 -1983. Wow his speaking voice brings him back to life for me. I remember that Venice T shirt he had a yellow one that said “Venice” too.He was ahead of his time and was very philosophic.
Hey Suzanne. I am so glad that you got to know him. I just saw you on the YT video December 2003 at the bar in Santa Monica honoring Dennis. You spoke well and looked stunning. I hope that life is a happy place for you and that you are doing well. ♥
Dennis said it all. He was actually pretty damn hip to what was going on.environmentally, he sounded like a pretty good dude. And those 4 part harmonies. He's why I started to play drums. I'm always happy when I listen tho The Beach Boys. Daily !
If there is such a thing as inherited intelligence than all the Wilson brothers had that. Dennis is very prophetic in everything he is saying here and offering surprising insight for a drummer with a wild side.
This was 1978. The themes that he was talking about are talked about with more emphasis but most people dismiss it. Dennis was an interesting guy. He was tagged as the dumb drug taking drummer but he really was more than that. Both mentally and creatively. I miss him. He must have been one hell of a guy. 😃
I was born when he got famous. He passed when I was 19 - just makes me so sad.
Just not fair :( Dennis should be here with us today

Love Dennis
Quite possibly the most tragic personality of rock. Dennis was a beautiful soul and an incredibly talented singer and song writer.

Wow! Awesome. Saw them live many times but never had the pleasure of meeting Dennis.

Dennis was such an intelligent and thoughtful human being.
"Why couldn't everybody have their own recording studio in their home?"
If only Dennis were alive today!

Dennis inspired my brother to take up the drums. Carl inspired me on the guitar. 👍

Dennis was an awesome person.
Agreed!
I lived in the marina not far from where his boat was Basin C100. Wish he was still alive to hear his stories. His boys look like him.

He had the looks and the brains what a loss of talent
Dennis Rules…Excellent!
I think if Dennis knew what kind of technology we have today, like flatscreens, Smartphones etc. i think he would freak out or be dissapointed
Dennis was a dreamer, but not the only one.
