This is a great tasting whisky. Very deep and intence and great for the price. Love the stuff!
This whisky surprised me in a positive way. It’s almost half the price of a Glenfiddich 12 bottle here in Uruguai. It’s not much of a complex malt, but for me it was very easy and round to drink. Didn’t smell anything like alcohol, nail polish, cetone and things like that. Good whisky in my opinion.
It is a great choice for the price!
Jura gets a lot of negative comments which kind of put me off it, but then you also get some positive reviews. If Horst doesn't hate it, I am inclined to want to try it!

I’ve tried many different single malts, sort of a nice pastime experimenting with them all , but I’ve settled on Jura, I’m having a10year old right now, and got a few different ones in the cupboard, proper nice and value for money 👍
I would totally agree with that remark about the intensity, especially at 10 years. And it's quite humbling to hear the father here say that. It's remarkable it gets that intensity with almost zero peat (though the description does say "A touch of peat". And I think I do catch a hint of it). I was searching for that briny quality. It's there, but I'm sure it's more pronounced in the 12. Very nice. Really an interesting dram indeed.

I'm surprised no one mentioned the slight hint of peat/smoke in it..... That's what I got anyway. Anyway, great channel guys. Love your reviews.
It does have a bit of that
I found that the peat is undetectable on the nose, but builds up once you've had a few sips. Love the Jura 10!
I just opened a bottle of this very Jura and drank a small glass with you both! Thoroughly enjoyeabe
Bought it on sale from tesco. It reminds me of johnny walker red in terms of how intense it can be, but the taste is much better in comparison. Still really intense.
then it really must not be that intense, red is not intense at all imho :D

Love these reviews and sipping along. Jura is very good, would love to see a Jura seven wood, it is probably my favorite whisky.
The sherry cask is really there. Almost similar to Aberlour, yet quite different obviously.
My thoughts but for me more pleasing than the aberlour, just personal preference
Enjoying for the first time as I type. Like a less cloying Bowmore and the first sherry finish that I have liked. Very nice.

Mine didn’t taste massive at all, was a whisper. Did I get a weird bottle or does anyone else find it good but thin in intensity of flavor?
I got this on special offer from a supermarket. I would agree with your assessment. I enjoy it, but would not describe it as particularly intense myself.
@@MannBazza oddly I bought a G&M independent bottle of Jura a while back and it was a totally different animal. Stronger but more milky than peaty with no smoke. Jura is a confusing malt, it is a chameleon

What is the PPM level of Jura 10yo? Or is it unpeated whisky?
I have been intrresting about this one for a long time, but at the same time beeing in the doubts should I buy this one or not, i dont want to get ahead of myself and regret it
This whiskey goes very nicely with a nasal snuff from Mullins & Westley called Mature Crumbled.
This whisky is fantastic…peaty but complex like Talisker.
jura 10 was my first malt ever and it put me off from drinking whisky for couple of years. It was sharp and oily. I had to finish the bottle with coke. I'm curious how I would perceive it now after I tasted many more whiskies. I don't think its a good first beginner malt
Definitely not a biginner. It might be a good introduction to peat tho

Well it stands to reason, it's only going to get more intense and better. But actually I've tried both, would you believe me if I said the 10 seemed better this round? It's all about batches and when you buy it. And where you're at. Once a malt spirit is being made at this level, it's gonna be solid if you buy from a legit distillery. So don't get caught up too much in the age statement. I do admit I'm cautious of NAS, but that's the badge of spirit drinker.

I like how you guys do reviews. Personally I liked ‘superstition’ but this one underwhelming. I felt it was a bit.. dunno, very sweet but not much else. Anyway. Good to get your take on this. Proost.
Its good for £25,pity only 40% abv,but still tastes pleasant enough!Nothing spectacular,but worth a try when on sale.Tried 7 Wood but was not totally pressed...Ok but nothing special!

I have a bottle of Jura origin (the left bottle!) and I really dont like it! One of only a few whiskys I dont

@@RedboRF I'ts actually grown on me. I wasnt keen on it initially. I dont really know why I just preferred different whiskys over it but it's actually very nice

Well I like the Origin very much. There is a licorice aftertaste I enjoy. If you let it breathe a few minutes the aroma evolves delicately.

Honestly, one of the worst whiskys I've ever tasted. Smells like alcohol. Only taste I get too. I get nothing else.
Not used to drinking whisky much? Maybe you're not using the correct glass? Idk, i think it is delicious
@@modvind No, I have more than 100 bottles of scotch. Right now my favorite is Clynelish 14. I think jura is just garbage compared to everything I've had.

Please...the sound of "chewing" the whisky...is horrible and not elegant. Anyway, it's wonderful to see father and son tasting whisky together. Congrats!
