Scary thing about this is, even if they get a restraining order against him, there is nothing to really stop him from continuing with his obsessive behavior. If I were Op, I would be on guard. Once the divorce happens and it sinks in what Mark has lost, he will be like a cornered animal. Op's wife is in danger. Mark could track her movements and look for an opportunity to act out his fantasies.
There is no way a piece of paper would stop him since he has essentially blown up his life already. I have seen this sort of thing firsthand. Over the 10+ years my wife and I have been married she has had her share of stalkers. It's one reason we moved from the Hollywood California area to my home state and directly related to the fact her brother and sisters as well as her father are well-known actors/directors. My wife was even an actress for a short while but she HATES the acting business so she retired several years ago. But there are still crazies who would send some pretty crazy notes and gifts to her. Even I ended up with a female stalker and in her case, a restraining order did nothing to stop her from coming to our home and attempting to break in. For some reason, she had blown up her life and left her husband and kids with a letter telling them I was her soulmate even though we had never met and she had simply seen me with my wife and our kids. She believed my wife and my kids were hers and mine. I'm a big guy with some serious training from MMA and as a Vet with 4 deployments to Iraq and even I am afraid of crazy people as you never know what they will do or where their boundaries are.

Sarah needs protection. Mark is quite unstable and may feel cornered with nothing to lose and act out violently.
