  • Hauling essential coal on the SLR are a PPS (now Roy Wood Models) De Winton and a Regner Vincent. Both are heavily modified and the De Winton has radio control. The Regner has a horrendously noisy burner with a fraction of a millimetre adjustment between way too loud and off, so I have had to wind back the natural sound track and add some gentle music - courtesy of UA-cam. The coal wagons are mostly made from bamboo pen pots and the oval tubs are made from card craft boxes. Oh yes - and as I couldn't adjust the Regner burner and I couldn't hear the silent De Winton burner, I had to let them blow off merrily :-)
