I’ve been dithering about buying a Chaloner - and am dithering no longer! Ordered. Beautiful machine and really well presented in your video.
I had the same issue with my Binnie skips. Solved it by putting some lead sheet on the chassis and raising the couplings with glued on cubes of wood; a suitably industrial look has resulted!
Hi Nigel, I am glad it has proved useful. You will not be disappointed. The skips benefit from the extra weight. I think you have found a great solution. Cheers, John
Hello dear John, nice Regner locomotive pulled mining wagons - like 6. Cheers, Fabrizio
Thank you. A reliable loco. It will pull a lot more I'm sure.
@@bikerides Yes, I am agree with you about pull more cars! All the best Fabrizio
@@fabrizioviscardi40 Yes. I have seen you run long realistic trains with your locos.
@@bikerides Yes, it is so and in my layout there are slopes more then of 3.0%. Have a good evening my friend!
I've never been a massive fan of livesteam, seems a bit temperamental to me and probably partly to do with the gradients on my line that I've never been interested in them. However when I was at Warley 2019 it was the gauge 1 live steam layout I was at the most so theres a bit of fascination there but it was starting to give me a headache from the gas.
I do not run live steam as often as I imagined. I have had plenty of issues but when I laid out the garden I had live steam in mind with regards gradients and curves. Cheers, John
I think you need to lower the connecting chain as it is lifting the first wagon of the rail
Yes Mr baconbutty. There is an issue with coupling height. Another day.
Seems a bit dangerous having the water running out before the gas 😬😬
Yes. Normally the gas tank is of such a size that it runs out first. You need to keep an eye on the water with this one. I estimate about a boiler and a half of water to one fill of gas. Cheers, John
Nice Loco. Where can we find the blueprint for this De Wonton?
Hi Red, I do not know the answer to that. I would start with a Google search. Let me know how you get on and if you have any difficulty, cheers, John
