What I love about Key and Peele in nearly all their sketches is that they don’t attempt to distribute laughs throughout every few seconds…instead, they just take us through absurd scenarios that makes us snicker, cause it’s just funny to hear the voices and watch the bizarre interactions, but it does take a bit of patience to get to the punchline, which is usually some twist, but highly worth waiting for. I think in the age of 15 second TikToks that everyone mind not totally appreciate this. But in my opinion, comedy that takes its time is truly brilliant
Well, in many of their scetches it's funny almost immediately or at least in the middle so you don't always have to ''wait'' because it's not just about the punchline but about the way there too. Also, only dumb kids watch tik toks so it's definitely not the ''age of tiktok'' to the point that ''everyone's'' mind is affected by this...
