Well, back when I was a kid dad harvested our grain with a JD 45, Grandpa harvested with a JD 55. Dad had a 440 acre farm with a small dairy operation, and grandpa farmed 300 acres. The largest combine I ever operated was a JD 6620 in the early 90s. Guess I’m kinda old school. These modern monsters while impressive, leave me longing for much smaller farm operations and equipment with more farmers.
Nice combines. I grew up watching a 95EB with a 3 row head. That farm moved to a 6600 with a 6 row head it was a giant in its day. I too miss those classic days.
The ability of these machines to process crop SO fast really is amazing. When I was a kid dad had a New Idea 2 row sheller, the John deer 4000 could only run in 3 rd gear , anything faster and it couldn’t separate it fast enough and would push grain out
A great video as always. I have not been to any farms shows to see the Fendt combines yet. Love the Gleaner combines. The Fendts are good machines just not proven yet.
Mike Mitchell is not someone that you can take farming advice from. Four of his ideal 9 came out to Manitoba and have run 2 years with no trouble. It's more operator error than the machine.
I agree with the operator statement, it seems Mike will find a way to plug a combine no matter what, and from what I saw it was mostly him plugging his machine up. Just like his X series Deere this year, he's not bad person but he has a unique way of doing things. And I'd encourage many to not do it his way.
Mike is as honest as can get and a lot of people they like equipment and only say the good things about it mike says the truth no matter what if Mike says they're unreliable so be it I don't know what you fagots think it was no operator error all fendt gives a shit about is electronic crap safety unlock everything before using even his s690s work better than brand new fendt if it's operator error than why didn't just Mike's break fendt only knows how too make tractors that's it like for example you can electronicly hook up the header wtf you need too get out anyway too clean the the place where it connects put so that's a pointless idea if you're too lazy too hook up your header than don't touch a combine use your little brains for something useful my advice too almost all manufacturers 🧠🧠🧠🤯🤯🤯
Despite the width of either corn or grain headers on these machines, it never ceases to amaze me, just how quick they can go, up and down the field - their processing capacity is truly impressive. Veritable factories on wheels (or tracks !). Another great video from BTP ! 👍
Operator clearly demonstrates thru conversation he's unaware of the capabilities of the Fendt machine, or the superior qualities of the corn head he's operating over his usual Deere machine. Promise that farm is still running Deere today.
They liked the Fendt demo. This was his first day with it. I filmed this a year ago and just filmed this farm’s 2024 Fendt 9T with Intelasteer. They also own an 1162 MT and 1050 now. They are sold on Fendt.
@bigtractorpower That's very interesting. Making a complete manufacturer switch is a bold move, especially at that investment level. I'm glad to see a fresh, open approach to "other" equipment in today's market.
Many farms in this area run 24 and 36 row planters. The 12 row is very popular. As the combines get bigger farms will have to start looking at 32 row planters to maximize the harvest.
Do combines have onboard air systems for removing all that debris that ends up on the header? Seems like an automatic system or something that would allow the operator to pulse some air in that area would be handy.
I'm surprised the corn head isn't equipped for shredding the corn stalks 🤔❓🥴 That, in & of itself, helps the bushels per hour numbers.. And, manually steering a $1,000,000 PLUS machine down the rows in 2021 is rather archaic 🤔🤔‼️‼️
This was a demonstration machine. The GPS was not activated. Farms in this region do not shred corn stalks. They just run them over with 30 inch blades on Wishek disks to plow them under. Then winter wheat is drilled.
Agco creeping in on a BIG Deere customer...🤣 That's an amazing warranty AGCO offers....I don't think Deere offers anything like that?? Unless the customer pays for it. Also the list price seems less expensive than Deere X9?
This was a demonstration so the guidance was not turned on. You can see the gps globe on the grain tank. The future owner will utilize the guidance system.
As expensive as those combines are you would think they could get a cleaner sample. That corn is full of cobs! These 900,000 combines should be more efficient than they are! My 8230 does a lot better job than that fendt is doing and it’s not near as expensive or have the technology that fendt has. It seems the newer and more expensive they get the less efficient they seem to be. He should get h and r to bring him a 9250 and try it before he buys that thing!
This was a demonstration unit. They had just gotten to the field that morning when I started filming and they were getting it dialed in. Fendt does a god job.

Yep, our country will one day regret letting monopoly forces drive markets. Boom and bust by design to buy competition at pennies to the dollar.
*FENDT is becoming an impressive machine; thanks for sharing this video!*
FENDT is becaming a great machine, thanks for the video
My local dealer AG Revoltion has sold several over the past few years. They eat up the acres.
That should make it easier on the grain cart driver. He doesn't even need to be in the same state.
There is plenty of room between the combine and the cart.
Amazing combine Fendt at its best
It really eats up the corn acres quickly.
The ability of these machines to process crop SO fast really is amazing. When I was a kid dad had a New Idea 2 row sheller, the John deer 4000 could only run in 3 rd gear , anything faster and it couldn’t separate it fast enough and would push grain out
These things are incredible
Got to try one and it was crazy how fast the unload rate was on these combines. They are impressive.
They are worth a demonstration. They will help you stay ahead of the weather at bu per second. There is a 10T just in at Hopkinsville 😁
great footage, it's good there's still competition for John Deere in the mega machines class
Love the Gleaner combines.
That looks like a corn eating machine. Thank you for sharing!
The 9T cleaned this field off in tow hours running with the S790.
A lot of cobs in the grain tank need to adjust the settings to clean it up
Yeah really!!!!!
Thank you for posting! Really great content
nice combine under rated combine ideal 9
The local AGCO dealer has sold Ideals for 3 years now. They have sold quite a few.
As always you brought another great video keep up the great work and thank you for all you do!!!
It is always neat to video these Fendt combines at work. They eat up the acres fast.
A great video as always. I have not been to any farms shows to see the Fendt combines yet. Love the Gleaner combines. The Fendts are good machines just not proven yet.
Good video Jason
The Fendt combines are always neat to see in action. They eat up the acres.
@bigtractorpower they look like corn eating machines
Amazing video 👍
Thank you for watching.
When I see this combine I can't help but to think of Mick Mitchell
And on 🔥
I watch Mike. The 2023 combines are three years newer with updates. Several have been sold in Kentucky and I have not heard any complaints so far.

That black combine looks cool👍😉 it eats up the crop nicely😁👍
That is a lot of combine.
It eats up the acres.
Wow what a machine 👍👍👍
I think that unload auger would be great if you were running a 60' + grain head
Yes it would.
Needs a 16 row!
great footage thank you
We have a 1420 IH combine with a 843 corn head
Lot of fun to drive
Very cool. I filmed a 1480 recently.
@@bigtractorpower I watch all your videos
Great video
Thank you for watching.
Good video.
Thank you for watching Frank.
Wow! The reach of that auger is something. From the field, that could reach a truck on the road, over the bar ditch! But that navy gray color.....
The Ideal has a long reach. It is painted black it just looks gray in the corn dust.
@@bigtractorpower Okay. Not too crazy about black on equipment either. But, that's just me.
That combine could unload right into my little grain bins. Impressive machine as are all the new huge combines.
Despite the width of either corn or grain headers on these machines, it never ceases to amaze me, just how quick they can go, up and down the field - their processing capacity is truly impressive. Veritable factories on wheels (or tracks !).
Another great video from BTP ! 👍
Did you ask him if they had also demo'd either of the two big JD combines and how they compared?
They are considering the X9 as well.
$112,000 extra for the track system...wow
Love running our John Deere 9770 with 8 row head
The 9770 STS is one of my all time favorite combines.
Great combine!! I would think with an auger that long, he could put it right in the bin...maybe!
If you want to see how abrasive those stalks are, look at the tracks on the cart!!
I would hate to see the bill for track replacement.
Track ground pressure vers tires? Fendt with grain header maximum width??

Making short order of that field. Surprisingly he's only running a twelve row head.

It’s a demo. That’s what it got sent with.
It would take me all day and maybe more to do what this does in an hour. But mine probably cost less than the oil and filters.
What is the maximum speed of the corn harvesting machine?
Cool video 🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
How many bu per hr did the monitor go up too?
Do combines have onboard air systems for removing all that debris that ends up on the header? Seems like an automatic system or something that would allow the operator to pulse some air in that area would be handy.
I can't believe that these cost over 1 million dollars with the grain heads .
The investment in big machines are really increased in recent years.
👋👁️👁️👋 from Dexter😎Missouri.

Super amazin video. As always.
Have a super amazein🌉night.

Go Fendt, go AGCO!!
AGCO has really put Fendt on the map in North America in recent years. 👍👍
Wow 👏 👌 Rolls-Royce Sir new viewer Western Canada 🇨🇦 😀 OilRich Alberta .Rimbey john scotty
Thank you for watching. It’s always great to have people from Canada watching. I have some good tractor and farming friends in Canada.
Agco makes the best combines period
They build good machines.
Hahaha only good when working you don't have an idea
“Look at the corn in grain tank very clean “…🤔 looked a mess to me full of crushed cob pieces
How much money would a b train of corn weigh and worth..and what is it used for mostly
When did we get to class ten combines?
In 2018. Now class 11 combines are on the way for 2024.
@@bigtractorpower I'll be damned. In way behind
👍👍👍👍

Why do you refer to some tractors as a Reticulated Tractor?

Does it have auto steering
It does but it was not set up because it was a demonstration unit.
Mike Mitchell had lots of trouble plugging on his
Where in Kentucky was that
Hopkinsville
A $1M machine and you still get a tank full of cobs? Hmmmm
Why can't these combine builders to something about all this plant residue piling up on top of the header
I am not sure. It is a big problem in corn.
Driving a combined big deal . LOL
You have to drive it? That sucks

This was a demonstration Model from the Agco Dealer. The farm was only using it in this field so they did not set up the guidance system.
👍👍👏👏🚜🚜🌽🌽👌👌🇧🇷

Seemed like a lot of junk in the hopper. I could be way off here.
This was a demonstration unit. They had just gotten to the field that morning when I started filming and they were getting it dialed in. Fendt does a god job.
@@bigtractorpower got it. Truly impressive machines.
Ideal junk
Nice machine but i can guarantee you it will be a maintenance nightmare down the road
Right? Like how reliable will these large complex units be in 20 years
Time will tell. The reality is the high tech features may not hold like a combine from 30-40 years ago that’s still harvesting this year.
Mike Mitchell has your answer
@@HeWhoRoamsAimlesslywell I think those combine are made for be over-used, eat a maximum grain.
Around 10 years
