It's great that they do these orchestra with FFIX. Really one of the best (musical) games out there, still being performed in different countries in 2016. Game had been released on Steam as well this week, very nice that this game is alive after 16 years.
"Arrival at Lindblum" "The Prima Vista Crashes" "Memories Erased by a Storm" "Brahne and the Performers" "Escape from Alexandria" "Breaching the South Gate" "Behind the Door"
Goosebumps!!! They played the cinematics musics so perfectly , this speak to the soul of the Final Fantasy IX lover that I am!! 😍😍😍 Also, Rally Oh to all the FF9 fans here! 😄🖐
This was incredible. It brought back some great memories. It was wonderfully executed. 🤍 towards the end, around 4 it stung my heart w fond memories playing this game. Thanks to the musicians whom passionately brought Nobuo's work to life.
FF9 was my first and most favorite FF game. It was so charming and I LOVED the music. ❤❤ 😭😭 When I was a kid I always wanted it to a an anime series. ...I still kinda want it to be. 😅
Very well done, possibly the best I have ever heard Behind the Door, but I feel like it's missing all the most iconic pieces! You Are Not Alone, Melodies of Life, The Place I'll Return Someday just to name a few.
The SCORE concerts are made by a production company called Underscore Productions. The SCORE concerts have been around for ten years (starting out as JOYSTICK and then a name change to SCORE a few years back) and have been performed by many of the major orchestras in Scandinavia. This specific suite, as well as the Legend of Zelda suite in the same concert, was orchestrated by Nils-Petter Ankarblom.
Where was this performed? This was simply magnificent. I wonder if the orchestra themselves got goosebumps while perfroming? I mean damnn, the final 2 minutes were just epic and beyond moving.
It'd have sounded very exotic to them - A lot of the orchestration techniques and general style/arrangement differ on a fundamental level from classical european music of the time.
They would be very confused by the very short movements in the piece and that they don't follow sonata form. If you explained that these are meant as short pieces of incidental music for a sort of play and not for a symphony, Mozart might understand because he composed for the stage later in his life
Oh Dear! Big boo-boo at 5:00 ! They go half speed! Don't know whether this was the conductor messing up by going into 2 but beating it as if it's in 4, or something about the arrangement which indicated as such. Super strange!
I love FFIX's entire piece, however this particular performance had a lot of timing issues. At certain points you can hear different sections playing at different paces, the counting is way off. The disconnect between the conductor and the musicians is very obvious. Personally, I think they could have chosen a better conductor, this guy was all over the place and you can see his complete lack of interaction and direction with the band.
I think there is a video/audio desync. Look at the string players and you can see that their movements don't entirely line up with the actual music being played. The conductor seemed late according to the video, but that would be explained by a delay of a few tenths of a second between the audio and video.
2:32 Guy on the left just realised he left the stove on
Pontus Hultgren FUUUUUUUU
xDDD
Lol that's actually a pretty common face to see if you look at the players counting rests... They must be a pretty forgetful bunch.
FF 9 lovers!! the few of you who have played this game, the few of you who love this game above all the rest ! YOU ARE NOT ALONE!!!!
Amartya Majumdar I love that! This game is my childhood, and what drew me to learn to play piano and love instrumental music... Uematsu is the master!
What you mean the few of us. The game recorded more than 5.5 million sales around the world, on PS1 only. We're not even counting PS Store and Steam.
@@JinbeOyabun OK, but that's half of what VIII sold, let alone VII.

I can tell a real Final Fantasy IX lover a miles away! 😉
This was perfect. As a huge fan of FFIX and Nobuo Uematsu, this was a great performance. Behind the door always gives me chills (and tears).
Trying to hold back the tears.
DoubleDee ..let them come my friend
all of these songs are from the CGI scenes, which were originally orchestrated compositions, would have never expected this! thank you
Louis Rossmann sent me.
Boy am I glad he did.

I'm crying! My favourite game!
I can picture all FVMs in my head when their respective song piece plays.
So well done.
How could anyone give this a thumb down? Beautiful video. Thank you!
Kuja, Garland, Elephant Lady are the 3 that thumbed down this.
感動的な演奏。ここまで特徴的なメロディラインを散りばめられる植松さんはやはり天才だなと思わせてくれる動画。
Nobuo Era is the BEST
Wow phenomenal performance! This is better played than the in-game recording as I remember it! Especially that brass section, trumpets were amazing!
7:05 this part will always feel like I could fall on my knees, burst in tears while looking at heavens !
What a masterpiece! Thanks a lot for sharing this precious moment!
Here I am, crying in my room. Thanks
Thanks orchestra! Saved from this bored quarantine!
7:38 I litterally cried. So many memories, thank you 💖
Oh what can i say just so many memories and just amazing music brought tears to my eyes big time
Queen Brahne was impressed.

honestly they should make more of this! so good 😍😍
Still gives me goosebumbs! Awesome performance😊
I love the cymbalist's expression at 2:59
Looks like he starts dancing to the trumpeter's solo
"Behind the Door" made me teary eyed, reminds me of the best FF moment T_T
Can't help but think of a cactuar at 3:31 HAHA
I remember playing this game with four CD and my Playstation 1
This was amazing! I feel like I just experienced the whole game again. Ahh I love FFIX so much!
oh my god... the song.. it recall my memory about the whole game

Yes! I was waiting for all of those and was a bit disappointed at the end. Nice arrangement, but the choice of source material could have been better.
They basically took the CG scenes tracks if I am not wrong
I appreciate the unusual choices. It gets boring hearing the same tracks covered over and over again.
@@Fuchsia_tudeIt was actually the CG scenes which were all originally composed for orchestra
@@justinhansen6069 Yes that's what I said
This brought back a lot of fond memories.
I got goose bumps wow
Fantastic game and music 🎶
2:59 Nice homage to Grieg's "In the Hall of the Mountain King"
gosh this is probably my 10th something view. never bored 😍😍😍😍😍😍
Gives me the chills! Absolutely ADORED FF IX. Thank you for performing this
*Spoiler Alert*
RIP the queen ;-;
Helloz World she died all fat n stuff.. when she's laying on the beach she's fatter Than she is tall LMAO! Ah.. ahem.. terrible.. terrible fate..
2:58 The guy in the back is totally in sync with song.
Prima Vista Crash is my favorite video game theme of all times
I wish I were there
Just pointing out that Nobuo is mispelled "Nobou" in the opening title :)
Kinda disappointed that they didnt include Border Village Dali...
though i kinda understand that it wont fit in it overall
What an EXCELLENT orchestration/arrangement. Who did the arranging for this? He needs to be commended. Bravo!!!

amazing
5:34 black waltz is aiming back at vivi oh no!
Where was this performed? This was simply magnificent. I wonder if the orchestra themselves got goosebumps while perfroming? I mean damnn, the final 2 minutes were just epic and beyond moving.
Sry, but the composer's name is Nobuo, not Nobou
+Никита Кравченко Thanks, I'll change the description :) Cant do anything about the presentation in the video though.
+krb Same in the FF6 Aria as well. ;P
+Damien Thornes Thanks for the heads up :)
The TV network misspelled it. Not the fault of the people involved in the concert.
krb omg is... is good music yeah thanks
OMG, arigatou
Woooow!
Perfecto!!!!!
Wooooooowww 🥰🥰🥰
I wonder what composers like Mozart or Bach would have made of this
They would have loved it.
It'd have sounded very exotic to them - A lot of the orchestration techniques and general style/arrangement differ on a fundamental level from classical european music of the time.

BRRAAAAAAVOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
The sound isn't as crisp at .75 but the timing is perfect.
Hermoso 🤩
EPICC
Where's Vivi's theme??
2:50 wondering if this is baku's band behind the scene😂
Nobou man
Nobou...my gosh...so incult...
5:54 - when you fail on Relic Draw !
😂
Behind the door (>
Ainda estão na ativa?
😢👍
‼︎‼︎
Uematsu is god.
x0.5 / x0.75 on some songs
I think that was a stylistic choice for putting together this medley, otherwise the movements would all be around the same tempo
where's the battle music :( ?
Nothing comes close.
.. mais qui donc est ce "Nobou Uematsu ?? ^^ son frère ?
This did not offend my senses. ^^
I remember someone said, video game is bad for you,it's full of violence and negative cultures....
I bet they never played video games before
😭
da
Who that Nobou guy?
T

2:00 mark was horrible played way too fast
Agreed! Also, strangely went into half time for a few bars at 5:01
It's beautiful and all but I don't like the tempos. It just sounds so wrong compared to the ost.
34 FF7 fans disliked this.
It is supreme.
