the irony of them wanting trump to be president yet calling themselves a soverign citizen
They are, at their heart, authoritarian, and believe the ideal government is a strongman who protects them and their ability to attack others. Over the years they have created various 'citizen grand juries' to pass laws and try people they don't like, and they always end up with a strongman+inner circle and spend as much time trying to deligitimize other 'citizen grand juries' as attack the government.
Just further proves how nonsensical their own views are
The best part is they haven't recognized any president since 1971 except trump Baha way to give yourselves away racists.
The idea generally in their minds is that since Trump in general is pretty nebulous about what he believes in. Yes he has a few very specific policies, but in general if you ask him "do you think X" he'll dance around and give a non comital answer. So you get to prescribe whatever beliefs you want him to have onto him, whether it's true or not.
Think about the notion of small government. If you ask them, they'll tell you Trump believes in pulling back federal government control. When in actuality when it comes to overarching federal power such as eminent domain, he is a massive supporter of it. When you're position is simply "anti-blank" rather then a clear solution, your supporters get to decided that you believe in what they want to believe. Hence sovergn citizens believe that Trump fully supports the idea and if given another term would have rolled everything back and publicly supported them (even though there's no indication he even knows what they are talking about)

On UA-cam, you can watch footage of “Sovereign Citizens” telling judges, “I’m not a person, I’m an entity that goes by the name of [name],” while the judges silently calculate their days left before they can retire.

What I find so interesting about “Sovereign Citizens” is that they have an extraordinary belief in the power of words. Most people believe that words have power- for example, when you say “I do” under the right circumstances, it makes you married. But “Sovereign Citizens” take this belief to a remarkable degree. They think they can click their ruby slippers three times, say “U.S. laws don’t apply to me,” and that will make it true.
Eh, words _do_ have power, ever since the dawn of recorded history, and quite possibly even before that, every invasion, war, and genocide has been started with nothing more than words, a sufficiently eloquent demagogue can throw the world into chaos because it is inhabited by idiots, but words can also comfort someone in grief or give them a reason to live on, words hold more power than even the mightiest weapon we've ever created. The problem with these muppets though, is that they're too stupid to make any use of that power, you could kind of say that in a battle of wits and rhetoric they're woefully unarmed. And hogtied.

Even when you say "I do" when getting married, you're just using your words to convince the legal entities, or the religious entities, or just your partner, to start treating you a certain way, and it only works if they are willing to do so at the behest of your words. What's so bizarre is that these people seem to think that, even knowing no one in government takes them seriously, there is still something made substantially different just by them declaring themselves to be sovereign.

When you have the privilege of rights, you also have responsibilities as a citizen. It’s called “reality.”
Ah but the Constitution is a trust document. The people are not trustees but the beneficiaries of the actions of sovereign-citizens [sovereign-citizens are really cops, representatives, judges, public attorneys], the citizens who act as the sovereign government are "sovereign-citizens".
You see government is the trustee. American non-citizen Nationals are beneficiaries of this constitutional trust and enjoy the benefits held in bailment by the government for their own benefit as Sovereigns but not U.S. citizens.
Remember, citizens are corporate persons owned by the state due to the 14th amendment citizenship clause and they have civil rights that can be taken away.
Noncitizen American Nationals are the private people and their posterity whose civil rights do not preclude their constitutional rights. They have a right to travel freely without encumbrances such as licenses which are reserved for people operating in commerce and for enemies of the state.
There was no such thing as a federal citizen in George Washington's time. The founders were all citizens of their respective states.
Cops are in breech of their fiduciary duty as trustees if they steal a Sovereign's personal property such as an automobile.

We didn’t like that a process, I.e. the electoral college, still exists to where someone can lose the vote and still win. Hillary contested the results of ONE state. I've met a couple, my favourite argument with them is public roads. So they don't want to pay taxes but they're happy to drive on public roads everywhere they go. If you don't want to pay taxes and you stay at home oh, start Paving some roads away from your house and you can drive on those :-)
